1981 MERCEDES BENZ 380SL ONE OWNER CALI. CAR NO RESERVE WITH ITS SMOOTH LINES, ELEGANCE AND SOPHISTICATION IS BROUGHT TO THIS MERCEDES BENZ . 1981 IS THE FIRST YEAR OF THE 380 SERIES IN THE V8 CATEGORY .LOTS OF POWER AND PERFORMANCE BEING EXUDED FROM THIS LUXURY CAR. NICE AND NEAT INTERIOR SHOWING HARDLY ANY WEAR ON THE LEATHER SEATS AND WOOD VENEER. CARPETS ARE CLEAN WITH CAR MATS WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNERS NAME EMBROIDEDED IN THE MATS. I DO BELIEVE THAT THE THIS CAR HAD ONLY ONE PREVIOUS OWNER. THE SEAT CUSHIONS ARE A LITTLE SOFT. THE PAINTWORK IS IN GREAT SHAPE STILL WITH EXCELLENT SHEEN. THERE ARE A FEW SMALL GLITCHES ON THE BODY BEING THAT THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER HAS A FEW SCRATCHES, AS DOES THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL ARCH AND THE TRUNK LID BUT LIVEABLE. TIRES ARE EXCELLENT AND WE HAVE JUST INSTALLED TWO NEWLY REBUILT FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS AND NEW FRONT BRAKE PADS. I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR HAD A NEW TIMING CHAIN- THE DOUBLE CHAIN AND TENSIONERS REPLACED FOUR YEARS AGO AND FROM MY INSPECTION OF THE CAR IT WAS RECENTLY SERVICED AND A NEW WATERPUMP WAS INSTALLED.AIR CONDITIONING IS ICE COLD, JUST BLOWS THROUGH THE OUTER VENTS AND THE DEMISTER NOT THROUGH THE CENTER. BELIEVE THE CONTROL MODULE NEEDS REPLACING. ON CONCLUSION, A REALLY NICE EXAMPLE OF THE 380 MERCEDES BENZ. THIS IS A RUST FREE CAR LIVING IN LOS ANGELES AND BEING OWNED BY ONE LADY.
