This auction is for a 1984 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. This car was one of my Dad's cars. He bought it in 2000. I believe he was the third owner. He put a lot of money into the car mechanically and then only drove the car periodically. The car has many newer items with probably less than 300 miles on them, including a new starter,full tune up and new exhaust. The odometer currently reads 186,413. The previous owner put in a rebuilt engine about 45,000 miles ago. Car has a 4.1 liter V-8 engine. The car has been repainted at some point in the past. It is a cream/ tan exterior with a cream/tan half vinyl roof. It has a velour cloth interior. The tires are older, but in decent shape with minimal wear. The battery is brand new. The car has only been driven a few times a year over the past three years. The car has been parked outside and is showing signs of being outside. The plastic bumper filler panels in the rear are missing large pieces. The front side bumper filler panels are cracked with a small piece missing on the pass/side. The vinyl roof is badly cracked. There are some surface rust spots along the vinyl roof molding and on the roof near the windshield. The weather stripping at the bottom of the door windows is cracked with some sections missing. The steering wheel has some cracks in it. The piping along the driverside edge of the front seat has some wear, but is not torn. The return fuel line has a 3 foot section that is badly rusted near the rear axle. There is a slow gas leak from this line when the car is running, so car cannot be driven more than a mile or two until this is fixed. Car is fuel injected with a loop type fuel system. Overall the car starts right up and runs strong. Trans shifts nice and smooth. Once the fuel line is replaced (have $350 estimate) car can be driven. Cosmetically the car is in need of some TLC due to the above mentioned weathering. The paint does shine up nice and car does not have any noticable dents. There is some white paint speckled on the DR/side front tire that happened when a can of spray paint fell and punctured next to the car. There are also some minimally noticable specs of white paint on the DR/side front fender. I have tried to show most points of interest in the photos.
