Vehicle Detail

Here's a truly unique MR 2, which has been lovingly maintained since new. Metallic blue paint is all original, clean, waxed, nice and shiny. Always a Califiornia car, no rust, of course! Interior is in good shape, has a custom CD stereo with crossovers and amplifiers mounted on a special fixture against the rear trunk bulkhead. 17 wheels complement the still modern look of the car and the tires have about 75 % tread left. T-Tops are in great shape, almost never removed, all rubber seals are good and supple as well. A few years back the engine was completely torn down and gone thru by a professional, high performance machine shop, specializing in japanese turbo engines. Those of you who are into this kind of stuff will recognize the names and parts (and the cost!) that went back into the motor: Engine built, blueprinted by BENSON PERFORMANCE MACHINE JE PISTONS .30 over CARILLO RODS with ARP bolts ARP head studs Custom competition valve job, port and polish Spearco Intercooler with electric pull through fan Custom BOV RC Engineering blueprinted Injectors, Fuel management, 12 PSI boost, Turbo timer Clutchmasters kevlar clutch Custom Flowmaster exhaust Almost $ 10 K spent on parts and labor by the previous owner. I am sure there's more, but I can't remember. CRS, ya know. Anyway, I helped source the parts and put the motor in. This was at approx. 160K miles, since then it's run another 60 K miles without any problems. Runs good and strong to this day, with very good spool up and boost. Positively screams at the 7000 rpm redline. The previous owner and I are both meticulous and detail oriented. We have always run synthetic oil in this motor. The transaxle has REDLINE MTL trans fluid. Eibach Progressive Springs lower the car about 1.5 inches KONI adjustable shock absorbers - not cheap! Yokohama AVS tires 75 % Tread left One fine day, the car was parked on a slight hill. The idiot who parked it (wasn't me!) didn't pull the e-brake and left the car in neutral. Car started rolling....right into a bush and a small tree. As a result, the front bumper cover has a small dent and crack on the left front corner, there's a scratch in the hood and a broken foglight. As you can see in the pic's. I can personally guarantee that's the total and complete amount of damage. There is absolutely, positively NO structural damage, only cosmetic. Because of this, the car now has a salvage title. Truly idiotic waste of a a perfectly great car ! The good news is, you can buy this car for less than half of what it's worth. I don't really want to sell her, so much fun to drive, but got bills to pay, so my loss is your gain.
