Vehicle Detail

1966 Honda CB77 305 Superhawk Frame # CB77-1017227 Engine # CB77E-1017009 · The previous owner started a full restoration on this great little Superhawk and did a very nice job on the work that he accomplished. Unfortunately, as these things so often happen, another cute little Honda caught his eye, rolled into his life and that was the end of that. That is where you come in. · The bike was stripped, the frame repainted along with most of the minor brackets and gizmos. The engine was gone through and then re-installed. The front end was done and the bike was back to a roller. · The wheels are in quite nice condition with decent chrome - with the exception of some scrapes on the side of the front rim where it must have come up against a curb. The tires are good. · The body work is straight but sometime in it’s life has been very hastily repainted. It really should be stripped down and given a professional job. The tank chromes are straight but have some rust patches and need to be re-chromed. The knee pads are good. The tank badges are aftermarket. · The handle bars are not the correct ones for the bike and have some pitting in the chrome. · The exhaust needs replacing and the attachment bolts are missing. · The seat pan and foam are good but the cover has a split in it along the rear. · The rear shocks are missing their covers. · The front forks are good with just a little up and down scratching on the chrome seal retainers. · The headlight trim ring is dented. The wiring inside of the headlight bucket has not been connected yet. The speedometer printing has yellowed with time but otherwise looks good. The odometer indicates 7482 miles but I don’t know if this is the original odometer. · The chain is missing as is the light switch knob, a passenger foot peg for one side and the battery . · There is a new front brake cable installed and new clutch and throttle cables that will come with the bike. The rear brake cable is in good condition. The tachometer cable needs replacing · Frame and engine numbers on vintage Hondas do not match (as they do on many vintage British machines) though the frame/engine number should be within a few hundred. On this bike the difference of 218 would indicate that this is the engine that the bike left the factory with. · The bike has a current Washington State title. · If you would to inspect this bike in person I will be very happy to help arrange a visit. The bike resides in Normandy Park, WA, a ten minute drive from the Seattle/Tacoma airport. Also, I am very happy to do all that I can on this end to help in stateside or overseas shipment. I can deliver the bike to a local shipping company to save you the cost of having it picked up at my residence. If you have any questions at all please feel free to call or e-mail. My cell number is (206)276-9791 and I can be reached up until about 10:00PM (Pacific time.) Attached are all of the photos I have of the bike but I will be happy to photograph any details that you would like to see. Just let me know. · Please be prepared to make a $300 deposit through Pay-Pal, Cashiers Check or Money Order within 2 days of the end of the auction and pay the balance within 10 days of the end of the auction. I would like to see the bike picked up soon after the sale goes through but might be able to store it for a short time if need be.
