Vehicle Detail
1968 Corvette L-89 Rare and Original 1968 corvette convertible with L-89 engine. Documented with a beautiful tank sticker. Options are 427-435 H.P. engine, L-89 aluminum heads, M-21 close ration 4spd, positraction 3:70 rear, transistor ignition, F-41 suspension and soft ray tinted glass. Ordered in 974 Rally Red, with standard black interior. There are only 36,000 original miles on this car. The car has been stored indoors for the past 22 years at least. Last inspection sticker on the car is from 1989 I bought the car 7 years ago. It was an all together complete car with a small block in it and the original matching # aluminum heads off the car. I had the body taken off the frame and put on a dolly. The frame was beautiful and rust free. It was sand blasted and painted the factory black color. I also purchased new stainless calipers, rotors, brake lines, master cylinder, 4 gas shocks, emergency brake kit, and tie rods. The rest of the suspension was bead blasted and needs to be painted. The engine details are posted in detail with the pictures. Basically this motor was cast and make at the same time as this car was built on the assembly line and matches the numbers perfectly of this car the motor has been in storage since 1969. Rebuilt to factory specs and sold to me in 2004. It has factory broach marks and has never been decked or bored out. Beautiful condition sitting on an engine stand. I purchased a rebuilt transistor ignition, new carbs, intake, re-chromed air cleaner, valve covers, and distributor shielding. the interior is all original including the steering wheel and radio. The body is unhit, but does have rear fender flares. This is a rare car as it is one of 624 made and documented by the tank sticker and owner history back to the 1980's. Once restored it will certainly be an investment quality vehicle. If you have any questions, please contact me at 484-239-5608, Jeff
