Vehicle Detail

1981 VW Rabbit Pickup- Turbo Diesel- 5 speed manual- Air Conditioning This truck is a real beauty. Totally restored about 3 years ago, still looks like new! I have put tons of work into this truck. Turbo diesel engine- around 50 MPG, factory AC-it was working very well last summer. Is not working presently i have not looked into it yet. Seats redone with cloth. Rare 5speed manual trans. Herculiner Bed liner. Custom made tonneau cover- opens with gas shocks. Custom rollpan on back. Engine block heater for easy starts in the winter. Sport rims. Interior and exterior in excellent shape. The only flaw is the passenger door is showing signs of rust in the bottom corner. Many new parts, new brake hoses in front, tires are at least 50%, LED interior lights, LED lights shine around the bed when you open the cover, awesome for tailgating!! Aftermarket sound system and speakers. Tinted windows. Floorboards were replaced when it was restored, so they are in excellent shape. Shock towers have zero rust. The engine was replaced also when it was restored, at currently has about 109,000 miles on the engine, the truck odometer reads right under 140,000 . These little trucks last forever, and they are a blast to drive! This one is definitely a head turner. You won't find a nicer looking one. Very reliable, I would not hesitate to drive it long distance. I can gladly send you more pictures upon request. Will not ship the truck. Cash or cashiers check only please. On May-12-11 at 19:05:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to add a few things. The MPG is probably more realistically somewhere between 40 and 50. 50 would be very ideal conditions. There is a spot in the floor of the bed where the shock mount i think is starting to rust. I just noticed the drivers door also has a tiny spot of rust pushing. Also just to clarify when i restored it, i repaired some dents and dings, so yes there is some Body filler on the truck. I will be taking more detailed pictures if you are interested please send me your e-mail address and i will send them to you. It is a very good-looking truck if you live nearby you are welcome to arrange a time to come and look it over and hear it run.ThanksOn May-12-11 at 19:16:03 PDT, seller added the following information: One more thing I forgot to add, The truck is also for sale locally so i reserve the right to end the auction should I sell it privately. On May-17-11 at 22:03:40 PDT, seller added the following information: FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WERE WONDERING.... I HAD THE A/C CHECKED OUT BY MY MECHANIC. EVERYTHING IS WORKING GREAT IT BLOWS NICE AND COLD. THE PROBLEM I BELIEVE IS THE HEAT VALVE SOMETIMES DOES NOT CLOSE FULLY. SO THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE COMPRESSOR ETC. IT DIDN'T EVEN NEED CHARGED.
