Vehicle Detail
1971 Ford Torino GT Sports Roof Yup!!! This is the same car, the winning bidder forgot that he did not have any money so he backed out of the deal. Please…I encourage you to buy this car, but please make sure you have the ability to pay for it if you win. I have owned this car about 10 years; it has been a joy to own. The only reason I am selling is me and my wife have been bitten by the Harley bug and I don’t drive it much and hate to see it just sitting in the garage when someone else could enjoy her. About 120K miles on the car. Factory 351C, C-4, AC. Paint code #3, Ford Red. Original build sheet, owner’s manual, brochure included. Detail’s Body is in great shape, no dents or dings Very straight. Laser stripe is good; glass is good all the way around, couple chips in the windshield but no cracks. Grille is excellent, I got one on eBay and spent about 10 hours of labor cleaning and painting it. Hood scoop is very good, bumpers, rear honeycomb taillight all good. The CJ and cobra stickers are just for looks and can easily be removed. Trunk has original spare tire and cover. Interior All seats great shape, original covers etc… Dash and steering wheel like new, original AM radio still there and works, dash has no cracks, has never been cut. Sun Tach, oil pressure and water temp gauges. Magnum 500 wheels with spinner caps, tires lots of tread... Engine 351C, H Code as VIN# states Original engine was dead when I got her, block would not clean up at .30 over so I found one that did. Has less than a thousand miles on rebuild. This engine was put together right with no expense spared for quality machine shop work and parts, I have a stack of receipts for everything that detail the work, balanced, bored, decked etc.. ARP bolts throughout. Australian 2BBL heads, completely rebuilt, roller rocker, brass studs etc. good to go on super unleaded. These heads really make this car a beast; it will hang with any factory 429, TJ or CJ. Keith Black pistons, Comp Cam gives it a nice rumble, Edelbrock Intake, shaved to match heads. Demon 4BBL carb, Flexalite fan, Milodon 9qt oil pan, MSD ready to run ( no points to mess with) billet distributor and wires, billet mini starter, aluminum water pump, new 3 row radiator, every hose, power steering, transmission line etc… replaced. C-4 rebuilt with shift kit, shifts nice and firm but not annoying hard. Limited slip with 3:71 gears. Dual flow masters, sounds awesome. I have the original air cleaner, heads, intake, crank, oil pan, etc… that go with the car if you want them. Other New brakes, new rotors and bearings, new air shocks, new bushings so no squeaks in the front. Needs Needs new window rubber /felts for side windows, originals are dry rotted. Dearborn Classics carries these in their catalogue. AC is not installed but I have it and it comes with the car. The heater core had leaked at some time before I got it so there was some rust on the passenger side floor I cleaned it up and used some POR paint to stop it. There are some small blisters in the paint around rear quarter panels/wheel area look closely at the pictures, they are very difficult to see unless you are real close, the trunk edge where the rubber seal is also had some rust, but was cleaned up and painted long ago. Fortunately before I got the car it had been undercoated and it has helped the car hold up well, even the inside of the rear fenders in the trunk was done. So it is not a rust free car ,but by no means is she a rust bucket, just being honest so there are no surprises. Front fenders, door jambs look good. As I said the car looks good and is a great driver right now, the paint has held up really well on the car and looks great. This car is a real head turner, sounds mean, looks mean and is very, very fast, but it is happy to cruise all day, never been raced or mistreated. Since I have owned her. Not your everyday Mustang, Fairlane, Cougar, Chevelle or Crapmaro, you can cruise all day and never see another one, or get lost in the crowd at the car show. People will stare at you driving down the road and give you thumbs up all the time, it’s pretty funny especially when they tell you that is a nice GTO. If you are looking for a trailer queen or a first place car show winner this is not the car for you, look somewhere else and spend a lot more money, I am sure Mr. Jackson can hook you up with a big smile on his face. If you want a cool as heck car and maximum bang for your buck and something you can actually tinker with and work on yourself and spend time with your kids teaching them about cars on the weekends without a degree from NASA and every tool in the Snap-On catalogue, this is the car for you. Look around and see how much bang for your buck 10 Grand will get you. A 10+ year old Mustang GT? HA! Boring, you see one of those every 5 minutes driving down the road with the rest of the sheep. This car is a steal for the money. All American Muscle. Any Mad Maxx fans from down under??? This would make an awesome high dollar FORD Restomod or Torino Cobra platform as well. Remember this is a 40 year old car, not perfect, but really in good condition for its age, see it in person and you will agree. No joy rides, you want to drive it have money in hand. Please don't waste my time unless you are seriously interested, this car is the real deal at a great price. I am not going to send money to africazistan or anywhere else. Send me your email address for more pictures. Car is sold as is where it is no warranty no returns and you are responsible for arranging all shipping costs, any taxes and getting it to you. I have the clear WA. State title in hand. I will assist in loading it up for transport, or any other help you may need getting it to you if I can from my address only, I will not deliver.. I know the classic car market is down right now so, I am being realistic. This is a great chance to get a lot of classic car for not a lot of money. Especially if you are a Ford Lover…. If you have any questions or want more photos please email me. Serious inquires and bidders only!
