1978 Super Beetle Convertible- Bahama Blue! This one of a kind classic car had a total restoration completed in 2002. Since that time it has been garaged kept and driven only 757 miles. I am the second owner since it has been restored. I bought the car for my wife in 2008 for our anniversary. She enjoyed riding it, but doesn't ride it as much anymore. It has only been driven on dry days in the Spring, Summer and Fall. It's never been out in the rain. The car was taken apart, gone over, rebuilt and expertly put back together. The restoration was completed by the Pegasus Bug Shop in Linden, New Jersey. He mention to me that when he had the engine put in he was not allowed to change back the odometer reading- it currently shows 70,635 -see picture. The title shows mileage of 169,875. I tried to have DMV change it to reflect at least what the odometer shows, but they would not change it. The bumpers have some pits and a small dink on the paint on the front by the bumper.
