Vehicle Detail

Vehicle History: I bought this vehicle when I was in high school in 2001. At that time it was my daily driver for a year. I purchased a newer Mustang, and this one became a side project. During that time, I replaced the head gasket, put on a new timing belt, installed an electronic ignition, and changed the stock carburetor to a two-barrel aftermarket carb. I still have the original carb and air filter housing, which I will throw in too. After going away to college, the vehicle was driven by my father until 2009 when I decided to stop registering the vehicle. It has been idle since. The odometer reads around 42,000 but the previous owner thought that it had reset back to zero after capping 99,999 miles. The Good: The car has an inline 200 cu. in. 6 cylinder engine matched to an automatic transmission. Exterior color is signal flare red with a black interior. The interior has the original center console. Front brakes were changed just before it went off the road. I have the rear brakes, which I’ll include with the sale. The engine is currently running a 2-barrel carb that I added along with a fuel pressure regulator and braided fuel hose a few years back. This gives the car a little more kick than the stock engine. The rust is limited to just some bubbles on the body. As far as I could tell from my inspection of the vehicle when I took these pictures last week the frame and floors are structurally sound. I can get pictures of the undercarriage upon request. Except for the interior problems listed below, the interior is in very good condition for a car that is 45 years old. The Bad: The following is a list of what I would do before driving the car around town: New tires, oil change, tune the carb, new turn signal cam. (This isn’t more than a good weekend of work) The following are items that could be done as a rolling restoration: One of the wrist pins knocks a bit, there is a rip in the carpet under the driver’s seat, the driver seat has a 3 inch tear, the radio isn’t hooked up, buff out and touch up some rust bubbles and chips in the paint. For all the bad things I mentioned, I'm sure there are that many good things I forgot to mention. Let the pictures speak for themselves as to the condition of the vehicle. Vehicle Location / Logistics: This car is located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania just a few hours from both New York City and Philadelphia. It is being sold “As Is, Where Is” This means that the buyer is responsible for all shipping. I will help coordinate as much as I can, but I live in Washington, D.C. about 5 hours from the vehicle. I have the title in my possession and will transfer as soon as the vehicle has been paid in full and picked up. Please message me if you would like to view the vehicle BEFORE the auction has ended.Payment due in full 7 days after the auction end, pick up within 3 weeks of the auction end. The mustang runs well and is only a weekend away from being able to be driven around town. I would recommend the winning bidder trailer or tow the vehicle away as the tires do need to be replaced.
