Vehicle Detail

Hello Bidders, You are looking at one super-clean, meticulously maintained 2001 Suzuki SV650S. This bike has been adult owned, ridden, and maintained (never stunted or raced, as the youth would say). The care during its low 14,500 miles has been professionally provided with OEM quality components and fluids. At 13,500 miles, the bike received new front and rear tires, brakes, and clutch. The motor oil and filter have been changed this spring with fully synthetic 10W40 motorcycle oil and Suzuki OEM filter. Chain tension has been checked, as was tire pressure, alternator functionality, battery capability (145 cranking amps [170 stock battery]), coolant, suspension, brake fluid, clutch cable, brake lever tension, throttle cable tension, and all fasteners. This bike is completely stock with the exception of a slip on chrome Micron aftermarket exhaust, a rear fender tail-eliminator with turn signals and a proper license plate holder, front flush-mount turn signals, and aftermarket chrome brake and clutch levers. Just to bring you up to speed, the SV650S is one of the most popular track and road bikes due to its weight to power ration precision engineered low center of gravity and balance. I like to explain its feel and responsiveness to non-SV riders as a moped on red-bull and steroids… it’s got wings...well it sure feels light enough to fly-away! Some stats that make the SV a comfortable and powerful ride are as follows. - 645 cc, liquid cooled 90-degree V-twin DOHC four stroke motor offering 64.2 hp and 42.3 ft*lbs of torque - Aluminum alloy oval tube trellis frame design (supporting low COG and light weight design) - Kayaba front and rear shock, rear has adjustable spring preload - Dual 290 mm disc front , single 240 mm disc rear brake (118 ft stopping distance from 60 mph) - 120/60-ZR17 front, 160/60-ZR17 rear tires - 364 lbs dry, 417 lbs wet weight - 11.85 sec ¼ mile at 111 mph, 3.2 sec 0 to 60 mph, 8.76 sec 0 to 100 mph - 46 mpg, 165 miles per tank This bike is brilliant racing red, looks and rides just like it came off the showroom floor, and is basically flawless. There are a few very small scuffs from my boot on the left side shifter foot rest bracket, another very small scuff on the left side rear fender (I think from a slightly lazy boot swing), a small scuff on the right front fairing right below the throttle, and the mirrors both have small scuffs in the front plastic from being cleaned. All of these scuffs are barely noticeable and will mostly be eliminated with a good coat of wax. There is also some small black paint flakes on the motor housing from heat and cool cycling. There is a small press into the passenger seat (smaller than a dime); it is not a tear, just a small deformation in the cover material. The chain although greased, oiled, and waxed frequently and heavily has some small surface oxidation. The key entry of the ignition has some scratches from use. I wanted to disclose all of these items as this is my ninth bike and from experience I always appreciated knowing everything when I am bidding and buying. The future owner of this bike will be extremely, extremely pleased with the prime condition of this bike. Although I really love the way this bike rides and handles, I need to sell one of my bikes as I have another daughter due to arrive in a few weeks; plus it seems with having my other bikes, I basically do the to-and-from work thing mostly these days. Someone else will put more satisfying miles on this bike cruising the twisties during the weekend. Yes, whoever wins the bid will be smiling ear to ear all summer long for many to come. The bike is available for review at your convenience. I can also send additional pictures and an mpeg of the cold start, idle, and sound of the motor and micron exhaust. All functions of this bike are flawless and perfect. The bike starts immediately and idles properly during warm-up and fully warm conditions. I will work with the buyer to arrange pick-up or delivery depending on location and timing of the transition. I prefer cash payment at time of pick-up, but will accept paypal, or a certified bank check. Personal checks may only be accepted if they are paid in advance to the pick-up. VIN # JS1VP52A712105705, Free and clear title.Keep your knees in the breeze my riding friends! Good luck bidding…PS. No reserve for this auction, just a good deal for a lucky rider.
