Vehicle Detail

SPRING IS HERE!1987 Westfalia Weekender for sale. I love the van but it seems to be spending more time in my storage unit than being on the road or camping and I can't justify hanging onto it anymore! The van is in excellent condition with 121,000 miles on the odometer. I purchased the van with 100,000 miles from the previous owner who had just rebuilt the engine. The van handles Colorado mountain passes great and has traveled across country with zero problems- good power/acceleration. The exterior paint is in excellent condition with a few minor scratches (tree branches on camping trips). The poptop camper is in good shape with just a couple small tears in the window. The tires are brand new LT tires with only a few thousand miles on them. I replaced the oxygen sensor circuit with a GoWesty rebuild about a year ago which fixed the notorious "coughing" these vans were always plagued with. The rubber weatherstripping on the poptop has also been completely replaced. I removed the rear air conditioning unit and closet and replaced these with homebuilt storage areas. In addition I removed the rear jumpseat and installed a kitchen counter/cupboard. I no longer have the airconditioning unit (although the compressor is still installed in the engine compartment) or the closet but do still have the jumpseat which can easily be reinstalled. Please feel free to email with any questionsOn May-16-11 at 19:51:35 PDT, seller added the following information:One more visual thing that has not been answered in bidder questions. There is a vertical crack on the passenger side of the windshield from a rock that hit the windshield. The rock hit just below the level of the wiper blades and a crack has since developed from that location upwards about 2/3 of the way to the top. The crack is located approx. 10" off of center on the passenger side of the vehicle. I forgot to mention it in the original listing as I don't notice it when driving because it's so far on the peripheral field of vision.
