ronrossmotors Store 1974 PORSCHE 911 CABRIOLET - CALIFORNIA CAR - NO RESERV REMARKABLE WHEN YOU THINK THAT IN 1974 PORSCHE HAD A CABRIOLET? WELL THEY NEVER DID. THIS PARTICULAR CAR WAS A TARGA THAT GOT CONVERTED TO A CONVERTIBLE AND MADE TO LOOK LIKE THE 1980S CABRIOLET. IT FOOLED ME AT FIRST BUT THEN REALIZED THAT IN THE SEVENTIES PORSCHE ONLY HAD THE TARGAS. NICE STRAIGHT BODY WITH GOOD PAINT AND A PRESENTABLE INTERIOR THAT SHOWS WELL. THE DASH HAS THE HARD PLASTIC COVER. CANVAS TOP IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH THE REAR PLASTIC WIDOW BEING A LITTLE FOGGY BUT STILL RELATIVELY CLEAR. SIX CYLINDER 2.7 LITER ENGINE IS COUPLED TO A GOOD SHIFTING 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION WITH A NICE RESPONSIVE CLUTCH. TIRES AND BRAKES ARE NEAR NEW. ENGINE HAS A LITTLE OIL LEAK FROM THE DRAIN AREA, AND I THINK, SLIGHTLY FROM THE VALVE COVER GASKETS BUT VERY MINIMAL AND THE CAR DOES NOT SMOKE. THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF SURFACE RUST ON THE CAR BUT VERY LITTLE. THE FLOORS ARE SOLID WITH NO RUST BUT THE FRONT AREA BEHIND THE BUMPER HAS SOME RUST AND AROUND THE SPARE WHEEL AREA.
