This unit is a one-owner Ambulance used by Central Regional Psychiatric Hospital in Butner, North Carolina. There are only 96,000 miles on this vehicle (3334 engine hours). Many older Ambulances you find listed here on eBay have been out of service for years and have been gutted of useful parts and equipment. This one still carries all of the lights, sirens and control panels. It can be put back into service as soon as you purchase it!! Best of all, we are offering this Type II Ambulance at NO RESERVE!! High bid wins! The chassis is a 1990 Ford E350 1-ton powered by a 7.3L diesel. The vehicle has been state maintained and there are many new parts. Belts and hoses all look very good. The automatic transmission shifts very well. We have driven the Ambulance at highway speeds for over 50 miles. It runs great at 70MPH with no problems. You can drive this coach anywhere. The Type II Ambulance conversion was done by Ashley Emergency Services of West Jefferson, NC. Interior is in very nice condition for the year and mileage. Being used by a psychiatric facility, rather than as a regular emergency responder vehicle, has allowed for more a more gentle life for this Ambulance. Cosmetically, there are some scuffs and scratches on the body. There is a dent on the side door and some smaller dents near the left tail lamp. The windshield has a crack along the lower 1/3. Front bumper has some dents and dings. The only rust is in the drip channels over the front doors. The interior shows very little wear. There are some cuts in the rubber floor mat where wires were run. The A/C does not seem to be holding a charge and appears to have a leak in the system somewhere. Q: Where are you located?
A: Our lot is in Sanford, North Carolina. We are 50 miles southwest of Raleigh/Durham International Airport.
Q: What are your additional fees?
A: We have a modest $195 doc fee which includes preparation of all papwerwork, 30-day temp tag, fuel, vehicle washing, airport transfer from RDU (if needed), and overnight delivery of paperwork (if needed)
Q: What are your payment terms?
A: We require all winning bidders to submit a $1000 deposit within 72 hours of the completion of the auction. The balance is due within 7 calendar days of the completion of the auction, or upon pickup of the vehicle, whichever comes first.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: We take cashier's check, bank-to-bank wire transfer and cash (in person only). We do not accept PayPal or Credit Card payments under any circumstances.
Q: Do you offer financing on your vehicles?
A: While we do not offer any type of on-the-lot financing, we are glad to work with your bank or credit union.
Q: Do you accept trade-ins?
A: Yes, we will be glad to take your vehicle in on trade. Just give us a call or e-mail us if you are interested in a trade.

All bidders with a zero or negative feedback rating MUST e-mail us with their name, address and a verifiable phone number PRIOR to bidding or risk having their bid removed. Winning bidder must send $1000 in the form of either direct wire transfer, or check/money order drawn on a United States bank within three days of the end of the auction. The balance of the purchase price is due via wire transfer, cashier's check, money order or cash within 7 calendar days of auction end or upon pickup of the vehicle, whichever comes first. We do not accept Paypal or Credit Card payments under any circumstances. International bidders must pay via wire transfer or with cash, no exceptions. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise.
We hold titles to most of our vehicles in hand. However, there are times when we purchase vehicles with titles held by lending institutions. North Carolina law provides up to thirty days for these institutions to release titles to us.
Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than ten years or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing, your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
All sales are FOB Sanford, NC. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. We are open for vehicle pickup, by appointment only, from 8am-5pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 2pm-5pm on Wednesday and 8am-3pm on Friday. We are closed at nights and on weekends. If you wish to have it shipped using a door-to-door service, we will gladly cooperate. Please contact us directly for a shipping quote. If you already have your own shpper, we will be happy to work with them to arrange pickup of your vehicle, however we DO NOT offer delivery service to a shipping terminal. Please arrange for door-to-door shipping service only. If you desire to fly in to Raleigh Durham International (RDU) and drive your vehicle back, we will provide airport transfer to our lot.
If you are not sure about something, Please ASK. We STRONGLY recommend you inspect any vehicle prior to bidding. By placing a bid on this vehicle you either certify that you have performed a pre-bid inspection, or you have waived your right to do so. Do not assume anything not listed is included. We do our best to describe the overall mechanical and cosmetic condition of the vehicles we sell, but we do not claim to have done a complete visual or mechanical inspection. We sell our vehicles at NO RESERVE and all vehicles are sold AS-IS, unless the vehicle has factory warranty remaining. If you do not understand this or can not accept this then please do not bid on the vehicle. We do not want you to be unhappy with your purchase but at the same time you have to understand what the definition of "AS-IS" means. It means sold without warranty. Please do not contact us after you have bought the car "as-is" and tell us you want us to warranty your vehicle. Most of our cars are sold at, and often below, wholesale prices. Therefore there is minimum profit (especially on no reserve auctions) and accordingly, we can not afford to warranty the vehicle as if you had purchased it off our retail lot for full list price. Remember, many of these cars are nearly a decade old and may have in excess of 100,000 miles. They may be new to you but they are used cars and repairs can be needed at any time regardless of how short a time period you have owned the car. While we try to service any known defects, it is still possible for used vehicles to need service or repairs the first days or weeks of ownership. All cars are used machines and used machines need general repairs on a regular basis, many times without prior warning. This is especially true for highline & exotic vehicles that have more elaborate features and systems. Also, repairs are more common, for example, on a 1999 or 2000 model car as opposed to a 2009 or 2010 model car. What you have just read is basically common sense, but there are some people who want something for nothing and don't understand the concept of "AS IS". For this reason, we felt is necessary to spell terms out in plain English. Please e-mail us if additional information or pictures are desired. We reserve the right to cancel bids for excessive non-paying bidder performance. We reserve the right to end the listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale.

Fee and Tax Information: Buyers residing in North Carolina are responsible for 3% vehicle tax as well as title/registration fees. We do not collect taxes or licensing fees from buyers outside the state of North Carolina. All buyers, including other dealers, are responsible for a $195 documentation fee.
