In the U.S., sales of BMW automobiles took off in the late 1970s with the introduction of these two-door sports sedans. The 320i was BMW's first large volume car in America. While the 2002 put BMW on the map in the sports sedan segment, the 320i helped make BMW a nationally recognized name.The 320i was sold through the 1983 model year. The car shown here is the last version. Popular when new, the 320i is still prized by those who enjoy driving a true sports sedan. At the close of 1983 the E21 production ceased to make room for the next-generation 3-series, the E30. The E30 brought with it many improvements in styling and mechanical features, but it also cost nearly twice as much as the vehicle it replaced. To make the most of aerodynamics, the grille became less angled and the hood sloped slowly from the front of the vehicle to the windshield. The wheelbase and length were nearly identical to its predecessor. The engine was the 1.8-liter fuel-injected four cylinder producing 101 horsepower. As you can see from the pictures this vehicle is in pristine condition. The speedometer was replaced at some point. This vehicle runs and drives absolutly beautiful.These cars are a lot of fun to drive and handle wonderfully.The interior is in pristine condition with no wear showing of any kind.Car was just into the mechanic shop for a complete check over and the only thing that was needed was front pads which were replaced.This is a no reserve auction so please bid to own and if you have zero feedback you must contact me via email or phone with any questions 516-982-9015 michael
