Salvage Vehicle Note We occasionally purchase salvage vehicles for resale. Insurance companies usually salvage vehicles due to collision, theft, flood…etc. but don’t mean they are beyond repair. In most cases it’s not the actual damage to the car that causes a vehicle to be salvaged but the circumstances under which they are declared salvage. For example, theft recovered vehicles are always salvaged since they are usually recovered after the owner is paid off by the insurance company. Another case is the owner might not want the vehicle after going through an accident even if the damages are light and easily repairable. Whatever the case these vehicles can easily be returned to the streets and that’s why vehicles are sold through auctions as repairable vehicles. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION NO RESERVE !!!! Up for auction is a “Salvage” repairable 2005 Dodge Ram 3500. This truck was purchased from an insurance auction for resale. This truck is a theft recovery vehicle. The truck’s motor, transmission and drive shaft are missing. The photos will display that the wiring harness for the motor was not damaged; all connectors are in place on wiring harness. The power steering pump is still connected to hoses. Fuel lines were disconnected not cut. The exterior is in good condition with a few starches. The left front fender and hood have words that were keyed into the paint. The right fender has a minor ding just behind Cummins decal. There is one wheel missing from right rear of vehicle. The interior of vehicle is in good condition. The ignition switch is damaged but the key is present. The key unlock and lock the driver’s door. An ignition switch can be purchased and keyed to the VIN # of vehicle. The key present will work with new ignition, if purchased. Rear window will require replacing.
