Up for sale is a 1997 BMW R1100RT Touring Motorcycle in excellent condition with only 27,633 miles. The color is a hard to find apple red. It has a strong 1100cc (90 HP) fuel injected boxer engine which is second to none. Gas mileage is approx. 50 miles / gallon. The bike has been recently serviced with the following: New battery New Spark Plugs Oil Change and Filter New Air Filter The bike features the following options: BMW Hard Cases AM / FM Stereo Cassette with Anti-theft code Radio control switches on left handlebar Electronic Windshield Height Adjustment 2 BMW Accessory Outlets Adjustable rear suspension Adjustable seat height Brembo Brakes with ABS Heated Grips Original BMW Tool KitBMW Owner's manualBMW Service and Technical Booklet Overall the bike is in top condition. The only thing worth noting is that since the battery was replaced, the ABS warning lights are flashing on the dash. According to the owner's manual, this is normal as the ABS unit is in a "self-diagnosis" mode which will be corrected once the bike is driven above 5 mph. Currently, the bike is not registered or insured so I cannot take it out on the road. Please also note the small crack in the black plastic just to the front of the left side hard case (pictured). This was caused by a broom handle getting too close in the garage. Other than that, there are no major blemishes. I am the second owner of this motorcycle. The only reason for this sale is that I recently got married, and the wife says either the bike goes...or she does...and after contemplating for a while (which did not amuse the wife), I figured it might as well be the bike.
