1997 PONTIAC FIREBIRD CONVERTIBLE-----***NEEDS NEW MOTOR***-----car blew head gasket and is not repairable unless you are very, very brave!!....water evaporates in the motor, does not circulate, white smoke out the tailpipes, compression loss....car will crank/start and drive in the driveway but thats about it....154600 miles, I bought the car just over 3 yrs ago...NEW top installed last year----still with 2 yrs of warranty left on it....power top works perfectly!...3.8 V6 AUTO tranny, tranny winds out and sometimes is slow to engage 2nd gear when car is cold....no other tranny issues and that one doesnt affect the car overall----car probably will need a fuel pump too----sometimes is hard to start when warm....also needs driver side door hinge/door hardware, from when I backed it into a pole with the door open....door will still open and close but it needs help....power windows work, power locks need new switches....driver side front fender has a small cut in it (about 3 inches) that may need repair (bought it that way, never got any bigger), and its not real noticable...needs paint, although its not awful as-is....car has new alternator, new front brakes, and power steering pump....tires have 50-60% tread left....cd player, nice cruising car when its right! this is ideal if you have a motor you could drop in---they made around 1200 black convertibles in 97, so they are not easy to find....I have all service records and sales records for when I bought the car...clean title ready to be signed over!....buyer must pay by CASH IN PERSON or BANK CHECK IN PERSON...no other forms will be accepted...buyer responsible for pick up and shipment if desired... 3 DAYS ONLY Im looking to sell FAST!!! need new car ASAP!!!!...if you want any other pictures let me know I will post more when it gets light out!!!On May-03-11 at 18:16:00 PDT, seller added the following information:added a few pictures --- sorry I took them at night I will take some more tomorrow and post, but this shows you a bit of the interior, no issues with the gray cloth, radio controls on the steering wheel work, cd player worksOn May-04-11 at 16:40:07 PDT, seller added the following information: added more pics----1 day to go!...close to the reserve..only $700!!! and it will sell!!!...Ive seen other junk on here for almost twice that!!...a Mitsubishi for $1400 with blown motor??? why??
