Vehicle Detail

1971 Ford Torino GT Sports roof I have owned this car about 10 years; this is one of the nicest I have seen short of a trailer queen. The only reason I am selling this one is me and my wife have been bitten by the Harley bug and I don’t drive it much and hate to see it just sitting in the garage when someone else could enjoy her. About 120K miles on the car. Factory 351C, C-4, AC. Paint code #3, Ford Red. Original build sheet, owner’s manual, brochure. Detail’s Body is in great shape, no dents, dings etc...Very straight. Laser stripe is perfect; glass is good all the way around, couple chips in the windshield but no cracks. Grille is excellent, I got one on eBay and spent about 10 hours of labor cleaning and painting it. Hood scoop is perfect, bumpers, rear honeycomb taillight all good. Trunk has original spare tire and cover. Interior All seats perfect, original covers etc… Dash and steering wheel like new, original AM radio still there, dash has never been cut. Sun Tach, oil pressure and water temp gauges. Magnum 500 wheels with spinner caps, tires lots of tread... Engine Original engine was dead when I got her, block would not clean up at .30 over so I found one that did. Has less than a thousand miles on rebuild. This engine was put together right with no expense spared for quality machine shop work and parts, I have a stack of receipts for everything that detail the work, balanced, bored, decked etc.. ARP bolts throughout. Australian 2BBL heads, completely rebuilt, roller rocker, brass studs etc. good to go on super unleaded. These heads really make this car a beast; it will hang with any factory 429, TJ or CJ. Keith Black pistons, Comp Cam gives it a nice rumble, Edelbrock Intake, shaved to match heads. Demon 4BBL carb, Flexalite fan, Milodon 9qt oil pan, MSD ready to run billet distributor and wires, billet mini starter, aluminum water pump, new 3 row radiator, every hose, power steering, transmission line etc… replaced. C-4 rebuilt with shift kit, shifts nice and firm but not annoying hard. Limited slip with 3:71 gears. Dual flow masters, sounds awesome. I have the original air cleaner, heads, intake, crank, oil pan etc… Other New brakes, new rotors and bearings, new air shocks, new bushings so no squeaks in the front. Needs Needs new window rubber for side windows, originals are dry rotted. Dearborn Classics carries these in their catalogue. AC is not installed but I have it and it comes with the car. The heater core had leaked at some time before I got it so there was some rust on the passenger side floor I cleaned it up. But by no means is she a rust bucket. This car is a real head turner, sounds mean, looks mean and is very, very fast, but it is happy to cruise all day, never been raced or mistreated. Not your everyday Mustang, Fairlane, Cougar, Chevelle or Crapmaro, you can cruise all day and never see another one, or get lost in the crowd at the car show. This would make an awesome high dollar FORD Restomod or Torino Cobra platform as well. No joy rides, you want to drive it have money in hand. Please don't waste my time unless you are seriously interested, this car is the real deal. I am not going to send money to africazistan or anywhere else. Send me your email address for more pictures. Car is sold as is where it is no warranty no returns and you are responsible for arranging all shipping costs and getting it to you. I will assist in loading it up for transport, or any other help you may need getting it to you if I can, we can discuss. Remember this is a 40 year old car, not perfect, but really in great condition, see it in person and you will agree. The pictures don’t do her justice. The reserve is very reasonable; I know the classic car market is down right now so, I am being realistic. This a great chance to get one for a steal. This is a great car!!!!! Especially if you are a Ford Lover…. If you have any questions or want more photos please email me. Serious inquires and bidders only!On May-08-11 at 06:36:58 PDT, seller added the following information: ****** I keep getting questions of a Buy it Now, there is no buy it now, the reserve has been met the car will sell. Also yes I have the clear Washington State Title in my hand, no loans or leans against this car. I have addressed rust issues in the questions and answers section at the bottom many times now, please read them carefully. Also as stated in the description it is the buyers responsibilty to get the car to you, shipping is your responsibility, I will not deliver.********* Thanks and good luck with your bidding.
