Vehicle Detail
1985 Jaguar XJS HSE - 75,000 miles. Well cared for, have owned this car for the past 7 years. Its been garaged since I've owned it and I've only put about 1,500 miles a year on it as its primarily been taking me back and forth to the garage at the station. This car is mostly used locally around town. I have 2 kids now so need to get a more practical car for our second car. Its a great car, looks sharp, is fast and luxurious. Have put quite a lot of money into this car over that time. Here's a list of bigger ticket items done to the car below. If you are looking for a vintage classic on a beer budget, this is the car for you. New transmission and torque converter with 10K on it since I replaced itNew Brakes rotors, pads calipers, new pirelli tires New Shocks on all 4 wheels, front bushings replacedReplaced Aux. Air valve, Throttle PotentiometerNew Bosch Starter, starter relayReplaced AlternatorNew coilRecent tune-up with new cap/rotor, wires and plugsHave spare gas tank and British downpipes without Cats I'll include in sale if picked up locally. The Bad: one small rust spot below rear window. Been there since I bought the car off this site 7 years ago and has not gotten worse. Window does not leak. Also, leaks some power steering fluid. Needs new power steering hose but I have just not gotten around to fixing it. Hey, its a jag, they ALL leak. A/C needs to be recharged. Other than than that, it drives nice and smooth, plenty of power. Bid with confidence. Please do not bid on this car if you do not intend to buy it. This is a relisting because the winning bidder decided that they didn't want it after winning the bid. Also, a few things to understand about this car. This is a classic enthusiast car that is great for Sunday drives and short trips. If, you want to buy this car and say, drive it from NY to Seattle, this isn't the car for you. Reserve the right to end auction early as I'm also selling the car locally. MORE PHOTOS ADDED HERE: http://s581.photobucket.com/albums/ss253/masaro333/jaguar/ Reserve is low at $2,500. Sacrifice, need to sell it.
