CAR IS LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC. IF YOU HAVE ZERO, OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING, IF NOT, YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED, NO EXCEPTIONS. OPTIMA BATTERY IN PHOTO NOT INCLUDED IN SALE. BATTERY WILL BE AN INTERSTATE BATTERY IN GOOD CONDITION.. You are bidding on one 1972 Fiat 850 Spider. 2nd owner. 1984 NC title. Overall, decent condition. Runs great, shifts great, drives great. Paintwork is not the best, but it is THICK :) Original color was white. Bumpers are PERFECT, no dents. Underside X brace is in good condition. There is one area under passenger back side of X. Other than this, the X brace has actually been reinforced and fiberglassed to the hilt at some point. Floors are stronger than any 850 I have seen. The front bonnet area has been totally fiberglassed in. It is solid and secure. The only area on the body that is suspect is the passenger side rocker. SEE PHOTOS. It's NOT a restoration candidate, but an excellent toy to be driven and enjoyed, top down, getting great gas mileage. TONS OF PHOTOS HERE: http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa267/velocejoe/Fiat%20850/ Top is in fair condition. It keeps you dry, but showing some wear at the back edges. Window is clear, no sun damage. Apply some plastic polish and it would be awesome. Tires are crap. One brand new one on the front HANKOOK, the rest are driveable, but not for long distances. New brake master cylinder, electric fuel pump setup and rebuilt carb! Interior is in pretty good shape. Door panels good. All other vinyl is good. Rubber mats are fair. ENGINE: Engine compression is from #1front to back: 150, 160 155, 160 COLD. No leaks, etc. Freshly rebuilt carb. New NGK plugs. Runs very well. No issues to speak of. TRANSMISSION: Shifts as it should. 2nd gear syncro not too bad in this one. INTERIOR: Pretty good. Dash has NO CRACKS! I have the ashtray. Radio actually works! It is out of a Chevy Luv pickup. Seats decent, see photos. Speedometer has a crack in the lens, purely cosmetic, fully functional otherwise. CHASSIS: Surface rust. No structural issues. Jack points great and solid. X brace has one area of corrosion at passenger rear. See photos. The X brace has been reinforced so much I can see no issues that you may have. These floors are rock solid. Underside of bonnet area has been totally reinforced and is solid as a rock as well. Whomever did the work was obviously experienced. New brake master cylinder. Front passenger caliper is a little sticky, but should work it's way loose. The driver side was the same way and it is fine now. BODY: Very thick paint. Not the best, not the worst. Only area of concern is the driver side hood hinge. Someone has fixed it once before, and it could stand to be fixed again. It works fine, just have to be attentive when opening and closing bonnet. I cannot see MAJOR rust issues except for passenger rocker. The car actually shines up nice. I have tons of photos showing the body so you can decide for yourself. Spots on car are: Small dent passenger front at nose. Small rust spot driver front fender right in the middle. Passenger door small dent near top of door, passenger door alignment off, passenger rear quarter has small dent/rust right in corner. Paint cracked at antenna and slight crack in nose near passenger headlight. ALL THIS IS SHOWN IN PHOTOS ON PHOTOBUCKET. Weather stripping is fair. ELECTRICAL: Wipers not working. Horn not working, cigarette lighter not working. I will try and rectify these before auction ends. Should be pretty simple. Everything else working. WHAT WOULD I DO: Like I said, it is not a restoration candidate, but is perfect for that cheap, but reliable and fun toy to enjoy the summer...and winters with! Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I can deliver within a few hundred NOT THOUSANDS of miles for a fee. Thanks and good luck!
