Vehicle Detail

This Fiat Spider is in superb condition and ready to drive anywhere. I am the 4th owner and have owned it for 6 years. It has been garage stored and only driven during summer months in the years I have owned it. I had it professionally painted in 2006. Rust was repaired at that time with metal. The top was replaced in the spring of 2010. The timing belt, radiator, water pump, fuel pump, and spark plugs were also replaced 2010. I have just replaced the original points system with an electronic ignition which makes the engine run extremely smooth and strong. This winter I installed new brake calipers all around along with new rotors and pads and rear shocks. The front shocks were replaced soon after I purchased the car, so still in new condition. All fluids including oil, transmission fluid and rear crankcase fluid have recently been changed. Other items replaced while I’ve owned it include tie rod ends, ball joints and a rebuilt driveshaft. The car has newer Pirelli tires and rides smooth and very quiet. The engine runs very smooth and very strong – last year I drove car from Chicago to Cincinnati and later from Cincinnati to Indianapolis on weekend trip and it ran great – a real pleasure to drive. These cars in any condition are becoming more and more rare and this car is in excellent condition. The driver’s seat has a hole in the right shoulder area (see picture), the passenger seat has a worn spot on the seat bottom and the rear driver’s side seat also has wear (all blemishes can be seen in the pictures). Otherwise, everything on the car is in perfect condition, including carpet, dash and exterior paint finish. There is a dime size bubble over the rear driver’s side wheel well (see picture), but no rust at all anywhere else. This car is as close to perfect as a 1978 Fiat can get and needs nothing done before you drive it home (wherever that is) today. Thanks for your interest in the car and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
