1950 GMC Tow truck, Really cool looking truck, Great eye catcher, Dont think you will see another one like it at any car shows. It is an original factory tow truck with dually rear end. 8 lug wheels. It is a work horse, The engine is a rebuilt 248 Gmc. It is installed and ready to fire up. The starter was mis-placed and I had to locate another one. I do have the starter now and it was just rebuilt. I have not installed it yet though. The transmission is a manual and has a PTO for the tow part. I do not know if the tow stuff works. I do not know the condition of the brakes, But asuming the brakes are in good condition, (and I have no reason to believe they are not) It should be close to drivable once the starter is installed. I had planned to put the truck in hot rod black primer and paint the towing and running boards gloss black and paint a really cool logo on the doors and drive it just like that. I am now working on a 41 ford buisness coupe and lost interest in working on this. So it is up for sale. It would also make a really cool piece for a towing company. Please call if you have any questions. I do not konw much about this truck other then what I have already said. I bought it just last fall and what you see in the pics is how I got it. I dont really care if I sell it or not, but if the price is right, she'll find a new home. This truck does have some rust. It is NOT rust free. But is very repairable, Esspecially for a rat truck. Winning bidder must schedule his own pick up. I do not mind if it sits just where it is for awhile after payment is made. But I would like to know an approximate time for pick up. Jeff 765-749-8092. I is a small pick up size truck. It is NOT a big truck. Other then the tow part, it looks just like a 1950 1/2 ton pickup. It says GMC 150 on the hood trim. Thanks Jeff
