Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1984 Ford Bronco II 4x4. The engine is the 2.8 V6 with automatic C5 transmission. It is in unmodified pin stock original condition with only 72,300 miles. The truck has never been in an accident, the paint is all original. It has basic options including power steering, brakes and air conditioning. The truck has been off the road for at least the last 7 years. The truck does run and drive, but will need at a minimum the following mechanical work to make it roadworthy again. The gas has turned stale from sitting and tank must be drained and cleaned. It is currently running from a small plastic tank under the hood. The brakes work but the pedal is stiff and will need rear wheel cylinders. The cooling system and radiator need to be flushed, belts and hoses need replacement. The fan, AC, heat, and wipers are currently not working. The engine starts right up and has plenty of power, but carburetor and electric choke will need a rebuild. There is a small amount of blue smoke out the tail pipe. Will most likely need valve seals as well. Mechanically, that is all that I can immediately identify. Keep in mind that the truck is 27 years old, and combined with sitting unused for many years it will need a good working through to fix all the issues. The interior is in very decent condition considering the year. The driver seat has some tears in the fabric. Back seats and passenger seats are in excellent condition. The body is in excellent condition with a minimal of body work need as shown in pictures. There is virtually no rust on the any of the body panels, with the exception of a 2 inch spot on the lower right side rear rocker panel. The floor pans or chassis are perfect. The paint on the hood and roof had a peeling problem. I stripped the hood to bare metal and primed. The roof still needs work as shown. This truck is an ideal candidate for a V8 conversion or an easy stock restoration. I bought the truck for a small block conversion project but lack of time motivates the sale of the truck in “as is” condition. This car is being offered in a no reserve auction with a very modest starting price. Please email and I will promptly assist you with any questions you may have. Please read the good and bad in the description above. The balance is due within 10 days. This car is sold as-is where-is. Local buyers are always encouraged to inspect in person before bidding.
