1999 Dodge Ram 3500 4 wheel drive, extended cab, 4 doors. I used this truck to haul around my skidsteers. It performed faithfully for the first 100,000 miles. We had the transmission rebuilt at 100,000 miles and have been unable to keep it together since. It has been out of the truck 3 times. The present condition of the transmission is that it came in on a tow truck with the filter plugged and the oil smelling burnt. We had it serviced and it went back to running and driving but something is wrong. I don't trust it to pull trailers with and I don't trust it not to leave me stranded again. I have put about 100 miles on it since the service but again don't trust it and if you are taking it a long distance home I would trailer it. It also has a fuel heater on the side of the engine that leaks about 60% of the time. The truck used to be silver but I painted it white to match the rest of my trucks. The paint is in good shape. We did not paint the inside of the bed or the jams though. The interior is in good shape and clean. There are no tears in it. It has mostly pulled a gooseneck trailer so the inside of the bed is not beat up. The engine runs well. It has had the injectors changed to 80 horse over stock. We also installed an aftermarket exhaust and air box. It has about 14,000 miles on 6 new mastercraft tires. Everything works well except the transmission. I am at the end of my rope. This truck is ready for someone with more patience.
