Vehicle Detail
1964 Galaxy Country Sedan Wagon Unmolested 1964 Ford Country Sedan 4 door station wagon Car imported from Southern CA. Frame off restoration with many progress photos available The car is currently a rolling chassis with a FE 390 and C6 transmission. The car came from CA where it had set in the desert for some unknown period of time. It was a straight and solid wagon without motor or transmission. The only rust in the car was a small hole in the passenger side floor pan, some pin holes along the left rear of the roof and at the bottom edge of the tailgate. The motor in the car came from my 64 T-Bird and was in good running condition and now includes rebuilt heads. I bought the C6 here in Denver. The front end has been rebuilt including new coil springs. The rear leaf springs are new and the gas tank was refurbished by Gas Tank Renu. The wheels were powder coated and new tires were mounted when I towed the car back to Colorado in 2005 The body and chassis were separated and media blasted with body work completed by a top restoration shop in Denver. The frame was powder coated. The interior was painted with an epoxy primer as was the underside of the car. Ceramic insulation (Lizard Skin) was also sprayed on the interior. The front inside interior inside fenders were media blasted and powder coated as was the radiator frame, bumper brackets and headlight buckets. The fire wall color is what I had planned for the car (64 T Bird Coral Sand). The bumpers have been replated and are still in paper wraps. A good deal of the bright work has been professionally polished or replated. All interior metal parts including the dash and steering column have been media blasted and primed. The seats (six passenger wagon) are intact and all of the glass (windshield, doors, cargo sides and tailgate are in good condition. All of the side door and tailgate hardware (latches and window mechanisms are complete. I have a manual and electric tailgate mechanism. All the documentation detailing the work done and parts bought for the car and restoration photos are available upon request as well as the name of the local restoration shop What is missing? · Brake and fuel lines · Brake assembles and master cylinder (drums have been turned and painted) · Wiring harness · Radiator · Gages (need to be restored or replaced) · PS pump and reservoir · Carburetor and ignition · Drive shaft · Front shocks · Weather stripping This is an exceptional car that can be completed to stock specifications or modified to suit owner’s priorities. You will not be disappointed with car. Available for viewing in person - Denver CO I have receipts for the following work done professionally totaling over $15,000
