Vehicle Detail
Roadster is a 1950's, Dry Lake Style, Hot Rod! Has Rumble Seat and Top Irons (cover is rotten). This is a Early (E. Brake Handle on Drivers left side) 1928 Ford Roaster with Steel Body. Any parts not mentioned are stock or I just forgot. Frame is stock, Z'ed 2.5" in rear. Front I-beam is dropped 2.5" in front. K member is a Tardel 1932 Style (to fit Model A) with rebuilt,1939 Ford brake pedals and a master cylinder. All four corners have freshly turned drums with new shoes, cylinders and springs (Brakes are 1940 front/ 1946 rear). Brake lines are not finished and E. Brake is a 1935, mounted to tranny. Five, 1935 Ford Wire Wheels have been straightened and powder coated Satin Black. Tires and tubes are New Bias Ply from Coker. Steering is a rebuilt 1948 Ford Truck box and wheel. Underside of org. fuel tank has been removed to support steering and for wiring, ect., later. Rear end is a rebuilt, 1935 (4.11) Ford Truck with a 1935 Ford Truck Enclosed Driveshaft (shortened 18"). Rear Leaf has been mounted on top of rearend (Model A style). Motor is a 1946-1948 Flathead V8 with a 1935 Ford Top Loader Tranny. Motor and tranny in car are basically for mock-up and do not run. I am including an extra 1948 Flathead V8 engine and 1935 tranny that could run with a little work(needs ign., carb., heads bolted back on, ect.)! Also including two extra Ford Banjo Rear ends (3.50/3.73) and an enclosed driveshaft (1935 truck)! I do not have fenders or running boards but will include all stock parts that I do have for this car. Body is kind of rough, making it a perfect Hop Up. The floor in the rumble seat area and the rear qtrs. are the worst parts of the body. I intended to get the car running and then go back and perfect the body. All body parts are reproduced in steel if that is what you are into. Car rolls, steers and will hold itself in place! I am selling due to the purchase of another project! I will try to answer all questions ASAP and I am not interested in any trades! When planning shipping, don't forget you are getting the car plus an extra Flathead motor, tranny, drive shaft, boxes of parts and two banjo rear ends! To all the past bidders, the reserve price has been lowered. Thank You....On Apr-23-11 at 16:48:09 PDT, seller added the following information: People are asking so.... the reserve is set at $7,000.
