Vehicle Detail
* Y O U M U S T H A V E A N A C T I V E P A Y P A L A C C O U N T T O B I D O N T H I S A U C T I O N * * * * This car is an old Diesel 300D. For those of you not familiar with these cars, they are s l o w, lol. This car runs great but will not win any races. If you need a peppy car then you should NOT bid on this one. * * * What's nice about the car: * Interior in great shape * Brakes great * Tires in great shape * Classic style matching Mercedes original hub caps are all there * Transmission shifts well * The original paint (in general) looks good * Tags are current * On the freeway the car purrs like a (diesel) kitten * In general the interior looks beautiful (minus 2 very small holes in driver's seat) Flaws Worth Mentioning: * The passenger rear quarter panel looks like it might benefit from a buffing * There is a slight dent on the driver's front quarter panel (pictured) * The car (like most old diesels) uses about a quart of oil every few months but doesn't appear to have any leaks) * The car is SLOW. Again, I mention this because most people are used to cars with a little pep but this car takes it's good old time getting up to speed. I'd say just get use to flooring it. You won't get any speeding tickets in this thing, lol. Probably the best car for a new student driver. * Cold Start. As many of Mercedes Diesel enthusiasts know starting these cold sometimes can be finicky. This one is too. It always fires up pretty nicely but takes a few attempts (on cold start only) to get her running. But once she's running she's smooth as diesels get. There might be some idle adjustments that could help with this. This car is AS IS. No warranty implied or given, no returns, no exceptions. If you bid on it, you win it, you buy it. Thanks you
