Hello Everyone. Up for auction my 2005 GSX-R1000. As you can see by the pictures, the bike is in fantastic condition, and needs nothing. I bought this bike three years ago, but unfortunately I just do not ride it much, and so have decided to sell it. The bike as you can see is extremely clean and well maintained. It had a valve check/adjustment, new spark plugs, new air filter, and new chain/sprokets at 10,400 miles in the late summer of 2008 (I can provide the 2008 service receipt). It runs, rides, drives, goes and stops wonderfully. And with 150+ hp, it is viciously fast! My reserve is very, very reasonable. With this bike you will get 98% of the performance of any new liter bike at less than 1/2 the cost and not pay outrageous sales tax too! The only modifications I have made to the bike are the LevelOne Racing slip-on exhaust, Dubble Bubble windscreen, and new handgrips. Everything else is as I bought it three years ago. I have stickered the bike in 2005 Yoshimura livery, but the stickers can easily be removed if you do not like them. As you can see, I am also offering two sets of Dunlop 209GP tires worth over $400, a nice KBC VR helmet (sz L) with clear and dark shields, and a rear stand for servicing in the auction. The tires are used, but have plenty of rubber left, especially in the center (95%) where street tires wear the most. Again, the bike is in great shape as I am a forty-year old, professional police officer; not a twenty-something stunt jockey. Because the bike is viciously fast, I will not be offering any test rides, but the bike is available for viewing and inspection at any time. I own the bike free and clear and have the clear title in my possession. Please do not bid on this bike if you cannot pay for it! The bike has two defects. (1) There is a very small chip in the paint at the front of the gas tank as seen in the pictures, and the left-side swingarm spool is broken. It was like that when I bought it. Payment: The winning bidder must post a $100 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of the auction ending. The rest of the balance must be paid in CASH, Money Order(s), Bank wire transfer, or Certified Cashiers Check. The bike and title will NOT be released until my bank can certify that your cashier's check is authentic. I will make the bike available for shipping at virtually any time, but it is the responsibility of the winning bidder to arrange all shipping details and payment. I will cancel any bids from bidders with less than a 97% feedback rating, or anyone with less than 10 total positive feedback replies unless you contact me first with your intentions.
