You are bidding on an original 1984 Porsche 928S This is a very straight unadulterated example, albeit originally brown, which will form the basis of a easy restoration The car has been inspected by an independent Porsche specialist, so a list of needs will be included in sale PLEASE NOTE - The car is a runner, engine starts and ticks over fine, gears select and shift well, all important electrics work as do brakes - it has been driven BUT steering rack needs replacement You are not buying this car to go cruise Santa Monica - I would recommend it to be towed or trailered away That being said, there is no rust, the body is straight and the engine is in extremely clean condition. The rims are beautiful chromed original and are truly untouched, with no pitting, rust or kerbing damage. PROS - Engine seems to run OK, there is a fuel injection related miss (picked up by Porsche shop) - Body is straight with no major dents, completely rust free - Exhaust is sound, no blowing or leaks - All important electrics work, windows, wipers, signals, - Headlights rise smoothly and equally and are Sylvania Halogen upgrades from original - All light lenses are non cracked and clear - Tires are all relatively new, with plenty of tread and no deterioration (2 additional non fitted rear tires will also be provided) - Rims are immaculate CONS - Steering rack is shot and needs replacement - Oil leaks from pan (gasket needed) - AC is present but not connected so cannot confirm functional state - Front wheel bearings need replacing as do rotors and pads - Rear trunk lid is replacement from blue car with REALLY BAD paint job - Paint on right fender BAD (my guess - done by same useless individual as trunk!) The mileage cannot be guaranteed - CARFAX logs it as current mileage in 1999 - Odometer is disconnected. PLEASE READ THIS If you are wanting a car with a warranty and assurance please do not bid, this is not the car for you. This is a project car which needs a specialist and dedicated owner - I am sad to say that this cannot be me. I believe the car is too good to scrap and hence want to see it going to someone who will return it to its original glory.
