1961 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible project for sale. This vehicle is currently at the assembly stage.Just came out from the paint shop. Gorgeous Fiesta Red adorns this 19 feet beauty. This vehicle was purchased from the 2nd owner in 2006 and driven for a week before it went in for complete ground-up restoration. I have invested almost $32,000 in it so far, but the shop that helped disassemble the vehicle went out of business and thus took the engine, transmission, chrome pieces and the engine and interior components with them. The body is straight and the paint is amazing. You won't believe it. I am a classic car enthusiast and this car has been my dream for so long. I have closely managed the process of restoring it, but now I'd need to pour more money into getting the parts that were taken, and I'm now without the funds to continue. I do still have the dash pad, front/rear seats, the door panels, and a few other items.This Cadillac is a steal. In my financial situation now, I'm just needing to get some money out of it. If you happen to have a Coupe or a Convertible in need of restoration and you don't have enough time, this vehicle IS the perfect alternative as all the hard restoration have been done. All you have to do is simply restore the parts necessary and transfer over, saving you time and money. I am hoping that someone will pick up this vehicle and give it the life it deserves. Thank you! On Mar-24-11 at 15:06:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Below, please find additional information. 1.P/w, p/s, p/b, p/top & complete top assembly? P/W: Not sure if the motors are there. I will check today. P/S: Steering wheel is missing. However, steering wheel mechanism is connected to the front suspension thus, allowing the car to turn. P/B: I have the original brake booster off the vehicle. All four corners have drums. P/TOP: Top and the top assembly is missing. The top pump and the shocks are there. 2. What is needed to complete the interior? Basically, everything except front and rear seats, door panels and both sun visors. All gauges, trims and chrome pieces are missing. 3.The pix show original rear end complete & installed? Yes. Rear end is complete and installed. However, the shocks are to be installed. 4.Are the skirts & wheels/covers included? Both of the skirts are painted and available. Wheels are original and are on the vehicle. Wheel covers are missing. 5. Dash board complete? wiring intact? Dash pad is there along with the metal trim plates and the glove compartment. Evrything else is missing. Wiring is there and original. Need to be updated. Wiring harness is missing. 6.Gas tank? Missing. 7. Brake & gas lines? There. 8. Brake & fuel system mechanics intact? Missing. 9.Suspension complete? Front and rear suspension are complete. 10. Radiator-cooling & a/c included? Radiator is missing. This is a non-ac vehicle. I do have the heater core. 11. Headlight & tail light assemblies? Missing. 12. Radio & speakers? Missing. 13. Windsheild F/R & side glass & regulators? I believe, I still have the wind shield. I will have to check. I have also used all brand new and added extra body bushing to install the body on to the chassis for comfort. Bottom of the vehicle have been tinted red and rhino lined to prevent from rust. I have the pink slip and some miscellaneous collectible items. I have the right side rear view mirror in pristine condition. Very rare and EXPENSIVE.
