Vehicle Detail
This is a replica 1966 Shelby Cobra. It was built for me in 1990 and titled in Michigan as a 1990 Ford Roadster (Assembled). It set up as follows: 302 ford, four barrel, side pipe headers, 9” rear, 357 gears posi, T5 manual trans., wheels 8” front, 10” rear (tires like new), Side pipes headers. Total weight 2350 lb. I do remember the 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds was very fast and stable. Red / White exterior Black / Red / White interior It has 16,127 original miles. All of which were driven by myself between New York and Miami and finally to Hot Springs Arkansas where I run and own the Park Hotel of Hot Springs and 2 Italian Restaurants. 12 Years ago I had another restaurant which I used this Cobra as a display piece on top of the Back Bar. It stayed there for two years when I sold the restaurant. I removed it and placed it in storage for almost ten years. During which time I lost the keys and never started it since that time. So understand that you may have to rebuild the engine. However you may not as I have had fords that have started after more years than that. Wd40, new fluids, some care and it might start up. You will have to get keys made or replace ignition switch. There are some small paint chips from driving it. I believe that you could touch it up with a little TLC. You will also have to change the floor carpeting. The gas tank is still removed ( goes with the car) as you could not have a gas tank in a car that is in a restaurant (Fire Code). This is not a big deal to put back in. I have the full front bumper as I preferred the look without it ( It comes with the car) . The full top, side curtains and tourneur cover also come with the car. I have not used them for many years and it is not unusual for them to shrink over time. They most likely can be used. I also have new sun visors and wind wings that have never been installed ( New, picture shows them still with protective paper on them). So why am I selling it? I am now 60 years old and am completely consumed by my enterprises. I figured if I did not do something now it would wind up in my will many years from now. Besides it is a shame that this car should not be giving someone the pleasure it gave me. I believe that with a small amount this car would be fun once again for someone. If you started to build one from scratch now I can’t imagine what it would cost and the amount of time it would take. Many people often never finish them. This however was professionally built for me not some guy in a garage jerry rigging everything. I have put a minimum reserve of $13,500.00 and a buy it now price of $16,500.00 which is way low and should be a lot higher. The proportions of this cobra are very nice and correct not like some I have seen over the years. You will have to arrange shipping or I can place on a used 8’x 16’double axel trailer I have for an additional $800.00 and you can come here and tow it home. That is up to you. I must have a $1,000.00 non- refundable PayPal deposit within 72 hours and we can work out the rest within 10 days. I have been on eBay for many years. This is the first time I am selling. My rating is 100% as a buyer. Do not bid if you are not prepared to complete the transaction. Good Luck.
