This 1972 microbus is a great project. Starts and the 1977 engine starts but is not drivable due to need of rear shocks, front brake installation, as well as other necessary repairs. Completely stripped interior, but seats, and almost all interior paneling is included for your convenience. Rust has gotten through several areas in the floor of the bus (see pictures). Exterior has rust damage that was bondo'd prior to ownership and has since rusted through again (see pictures for exterior wears and rust damage.) The windows of the bus are decorated with Grateful Dead band stickers and the previous owner said that the bus even traveled with the Grateful Dead. The stickers may be removed with goo gone, etc. One sticker on bumper. No classic VW emblem on front of van, was replaced with Grateful Dead Desgined VW emblem decal. There is one other decal of the Grateful dead on the sliding door side of the van. Sliding door opens but gives trouble opening! Front driver door is slightly off and needs to be lifted up a bit to close properly (Hinge change may fix this problem). Passenger side mirror is missing. Came without any front breaks. Bought refurbished rotors and calipers. Calipers may not be the right size but are included for your convenience. Break lines and new break pads are included as well. Original rotors included as well. The battery is not included. I would deffinitly consider this bus a project and would love to see it go to someone that wants to fix it up, but the body is not in great shape due to rust and bondo, and the state of the mechanics is unknown to me. But if you are looking for parts, this bus has deffinitly still got some good ones. Odometer is not correct, and so specific mileage is unknown. I have tittle in hand and it is clear. No warranty on this vehicle. Has had 3 owners including self.
