1957 chevrolet belair 2 dr. post,exterior is of driver quality,i would say,the paint and body was done about 8 yrs ago,it had some putty put in,to what extent i dont know,but it shows in a few spots,you can see it cracking open in front of driver rear wheel,and at both front fender bottoms,ive heard the saying before of a car being a ten footer,im going to rate this one there,the paint is still respectable, im not ashamed of this car at all,it gets plenty of compliments,its just an older car ,restored a while ago that needs freshened back up outside,the stainless is decent,driver quality,the chrome is not beat up,but shows age,nice wheels, decent tires,the interior is very nice with the exception of four very small holes in the headliner,everything seems to work just fine,except the heater,wipers,and speedometer,the heater and wipers was working just a short time ago, but quit,havent looked at them, so not sure whats going on,350 small block chevy with 4 speed tranny,has headers and dual exhaust to rear bumper ,runs good no knocks or rattles,tranny works good but is going to need a clutch,under normal driving its fine, but if get in to it hotrodding it it will slip a little,second gear on the tranny sometimes is a little hard getting it to go in second but its there,i dont have a lift to put it on,but i got a few pics,from what i can tell,the frame is perfect,frame mounts look nice,the floor pans are not horrible, but do have some rust,and the floor braces also have some rust,the trunk pan by the wheel hole has a spot very small,otherwise the trunk looks solid,the driver rocker at somepoint had some metal work and putty put there,from underneath you can see where they used rivets,the way you see the car is the exact way i bought it,i have told you what i know and can see,all in all i think its a great car,not perfect,not a trailer queen,but a good driver,you can use and enjoy right now and work on it as you want,this auction is for bid and pay and come get or have shipped,im not playing the game of high bidder wins then can decide if he wants it or not,i have been as honest as i can about it,so do any inspections,test drives or what ever before bidding,check my feedback,its all good and i represent my items correctly,a trade is possible if the deal is right,i especiaaly would like a 1970-72 monte carlo,but will look at others,with the speedometer not working im sure the miles are not actual ,call with questions 740-251-1468 On Mar-31-11 at 09:15:17 PDT, seller added the following information: the vin on the car is B57B261485,THE TITLE SAYS 1957 CHEVROLET 2 D BEL, ON THE TITLE THE MILES SAY 98,990,AND SAYS WARNING ODOMETER DISCREPENCY,BUT THE ODOMETER ON THE CAR SHOWS WHAT I LISTED IN THE LISTING,AND AFTER LOOKING FURTHER AT THE FRONT FENDERS AT THE BOTTOM,WHERE THE ROCKERS MEET THE FENDERS,JUST IN THAT SMALL AREA SOMEONE USED PUTTY TO MOLD THE ROCKERS TO THE FENDERS,THATS WHERE THE PUTTY IS CRACKING,I DIDNT KNOW THIS TIL SOMEONE POINTED IT OUT TO ME,THIS WOULD BE A SIMPLE FIX,AND LIKE I SAID ITS NOT HORRIBLE AT ALL,SOMEONE WAS PROBABLY TRYING TO DO A DIFFERENT LOOK BACK WHEN IT WAS FIRST REDONE.
