Call it a Hot Rod or a Rat Rod, either one describes the style of this steel 1936 Low slung ride. Turned roadster from a coupe with an unsalvageable top (don't want you to think someone ruined a perfectly good coupe) Top is easily removed but I leave it on. Nothing modern found in this puppy from the split bones to the radically Z'd frame. Running gear starts with a 350 Chevy and 350 trans. Rear end is a Ford 9" with coil springs. 4" Super bell dropped front axle w/new springs, shackles and friction shocks, running '40 Ford front drums and newer Ford rear drums. Frame is stock out front with 2X3X 3/16th square tube from the firewall back. Straight pipes w/baffles for total surround sound. Tri power running Maund stacks with a little skull action thrown in. Using center carb only. Radiator re-cored and new driveline. Dash is '36 with a combination of various gauges. Original fuel and amp gauges for old time sake (not for use); Auto meter Monster tach, water and oil pressure working with an old Harley speedo not hooked up. Mechanical bull horn works great. Old Bell wheel for steering. Seats are flat on the floor with full back. On the floor means flat on the floor. Front wheels are 14" wrapped in Goodyear 5.00/14's. Rears are Radir MT Cheaters with the crossed racing flag design in the tread. Moon discs round out the package. 3" channel with @2-3" section from body. Trunk houses a 10 Gal tank and the battery with room for your stuff. This is a fun run and certainly not for show...strictly for go in town and on the highway. Pin stripes and graphics very early work by the late Vdutchz. Now for my normal warnings: This is a DRIVER. That means, it gets driven across the desert, in town, along the coast and any other dang place I feel like driving it. It don't wear no nose bra and to the best of my recollection has never seen the inside of the trailer. I'm 65, in good health and decided I did not want my family to ever go through trying to liquidate my cars and parts if something happens to me. I went through it for friends and it sucked.
