Up for auction is a clean clean clean 1993 VW Cabriolet Classic. It has a collectors edition decal on the side, but I think that was aftermarket. It only has 113K miles and rides and drives great. The body is immaculate. No rust or rot anywhere. Paint is still shiny and glossy. The interior is even better. The tan leather is super clean and shows very little wear. Convertible top works perfect and has the tan boot cover in the trunk. This vehicle was garage kept most of its life during the bad weather and it shows. The car does need some work however. It is going to need at least 2 tires due to dry rot cracking. They hold air fine, but the cracking will need to be addressed. It also will need a new emergency brake cable. The other issue I have noticed and it doesnt seem to affect anything is sometimes while driving the red temperature light blinks on and off, but the car never overheats and I have not noticed any kind of coolant leaks or any leaks for that matter. Also, sometimes when starting, the oil light will come on and then it goes off. I just did an oil change to it and the oil is right where it should be. Not sure why this light comes on. Lastly the clip that holds the cd player face is broken, so the face does not stay in. If you press it in, it works fine, but does not catch and stay closed.
