Vehicle Detail
Triumph Bonneville 1970 WOW This is the way you want to find them. Original Bike with all the work done. This bike is owned by an 80 year old gentleman. He is the 2nd owner. As you probably already know, many consider this the best year of the Bonneville. Clear Florida Title. Correct twin hi/low Clear Hooter Horns. Several years ago he bought the bike from his old ridding buddy in Pennsylvania who bought it new. It is a daily rider not a show Queen. In 2004 he had well known British Specialist Wes Scott , Fort Lauderdale, FL, go through the motor and transmission including balance the crank and a 750 cc new cylinder kit. Also, included were front and rear chains and new clutch. This cost $4,200. This is documented with receipts. The carbs were also re-sleeved by Lund Machine in Washington State. This bike is not this gentleman’s primary rider, but is ridden regularly. About 3K miles since 04. Bike has new tire on rear, and almost new on front. Correct Dunlop K70’s. In the rear picture of the bike the left side now has a light on it-- Currently, the light on the left works as an extra brake light. The correct left side reflector comes with the bike. This is a matching # bike with all of its original parts. The tanks and fender were repainted 5 years ago with the original color and stripes. There are some new chrome fork nuts that go with the bike. Actual mileage is unknown. The original speedo quit working and was replaced with new repro speedo. Current mileage reads 1, 597. The original speedo show 10,193 miles and comes with the bike. No known problems other than the clutch could use an adjustment. Starts right up and rides great. Expect normal wear for a bike 40 years old. I am listing this bike for gentleman who his my friend. I have ridden with him many times as I also have a Triumph. I you have any questions call 772-285-2316--Jim or email jsd75@bellsouth.net The bike is sold as is. No warranty. The winning bidder is responsible for shipping which can be arranged. You are welcome to come see the bike or have a friend come check it out before the auction ends.
