1965 Ford Falcon Futura (located in Spartanburg, South Carolina) Four- door, 200 cid in-line 6 cylinder, 3-speed manual transmission on the column. Blue with blue interior. Mileage – 101,000. I have owned this car for five years and have put nearly 15,000 trouble-free miles on it. Overall, good, driveable, dependable transportation. Definitely not in the show car category, but not a car you would be embarassed to be seen in either. Mechanically, the car is sound and reliable and drives nicely at interstate speeds of 65-70 mph. It is not in urgent need of anything. The tires have adequate tread, but are old. It has been repainted at some point and the color is close to the original which is a lighter blue. The seat upholstery has also been redone and looks pretty good, although not entirely original in appearance. The headliner stitching has failed in several places. Most of the rubber gaskets around the doors are in poor condition and the windlace is deteriorated in several places. Both the windshield and rear window gaskets are hard and the front will leak a little in a hard rain. The windshield has one small rock chip. Left rear fender near the taillight has a dent. I don't know if the original radio works, but the previous owner installed a nice, under dash Pioneer AM/FM CD player with an amplifier in the trunk (unfortunately the previous owner also cut holes in the rear shelf for the speakers). Parts that come with the purchase: a new headliner, extra set of sill plates, spare (rebuildable) carburetor, new water pump, new fuel pump, car cover (not perfect), several pieces of spare stainless steel trim, and some miscellaneous small parts.
