It has a problem with the starter. I purchased this truck with a broken off starter bolt in the block. I got the broken bolt out replaced the bolt and starter and added the front mounting bracket on the front top of starter to the block. Started easy and drove nicely for a year, then I started it on a winter morning with the block heater plugged in.. but it snapped off the mounting bolt and broke the starter nose cone. I got the bolt out again, but it didn't come easy. I had to tap it out to the next bolt size. I put on another new starter and drove it through summer, it happened again next winter .. plus it also broke a piece of the block out (on the passenger side starter bolt). I tried to fix it again .. but it just wouldn't hold the starter in place .. so I made some extra brackets to hold it in place. The brackets worked good, but not good enough to keep it where it belongs. The truck won that battle and I guess I lost.. or you could say I give up . I wanted to change the engine to a gas 350 but after talking with a transmission man he advised me it's possible but I was in for a serious job so.. here it is listed as the whole truck or I will part it out. Would make a good trailer. I know what it's worth at the local scrap yard .. that's why the bid starts at that price. On Mar-26-11 at 15:40:12 PDT, seller added the following information: As requested .. I have posted a few pictures of the starter bolt holes and brackets that I made to try and hold it.
