Vehicle Detail

This is it! You have seen it before. Submit your Best Offer but don't bother with any offer under $2500.00! I would rather donate it and get the tax break then give it away!!! Here's the kicker... the car payment terms as described must be met and the car needs to be removed within 7 days of auction close. I have no room in my driveway! It has to go!!! Someone, please finish restoring my 66 Stang!!! I held out as long as I could but the wife says "finish it or sell it". I just have to let it go as my priorities have changed. Here's a short history. I bought this car for $500 from a guy in NJ about 7 years ago. I hired my buddy's son to restore the car as a high school shop project. To make a long story short, the kid completed about 65% of the restoration and then moved down south. I hired a couple of other mechanic's to continue on when I had the funds to do so and now after approximately $12,000.00 I have had enough. I need to cut my losses and move on. The car started and ran for 8-12 seconds then stalled several times this weekend . It is probably a fuel/carberator problem as I have not tried to start it since last fall. The car has a ton of new parts, from all new body panels (less the trunk lid and passengers door), full floor pans, gas tank, fuel lines, break lines, brakes, to the foam and covers of the "Pony" bucket seats, to the wiring. It does still need a few things like the entire emergency brake assembly, a clutch adjustment (possibly a new clutch), some additional body work (passengers door rot at bottom) and some minor things as well such as final paint and some weather stripping. This is just a sample, not all inclusive. 1 Section of a frame rail was replaced. Please understand, the car is NOT perfect, so please bid accordingly. Also, please understand, I am not a mechanic in the slightest. I originally bought the car because it was identical to my first car and I wanted to relive my youth. I have no mechanical skills so everything done to the car (other than paying for it) was done by someone else. I hate to part with it but the wife wants a camper and there is just no room in the driveway for both. My loss is your gain. Fire away any questions, I'll answer what I can but I will only answer questions until 3/27. After that, I will only entertain offers. I am tired of promises to come and take a look, trade proposals etc. The car is located in Westerly, RI on the CT/RI border, approx 3 miles off I-95 if you want to take a look at the car and all the receipts. email me for an appointment. Thanks and good luck.
