Vehicle Detail

CAR IS LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC. IF YOU HAVE ZERO OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING, IF NOT, YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED, NO EXCEPTIONS. You are bidding on one 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. 3rd owner. NC car it's whole life. No rust! Engine COMPLETELY rebuilt with about 5K, from ground up with Hi-Compression Borgo Liners and Pistons and re-manufactured head from IAP. Have all receipts. Lots of driveline work and other work done also. Have receipts for that as well. OVER $10K in receipts since 2000. Original Owners Manual and Maintenance booklet with service tags completed up to 28K miles. TONS OF PHOTOS HERE: http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa267/velocejoe/Alfa%20Romeo%201986/ At 32K miles on 1-30-89 the speedo was repaired. It has had what looks to be one replacement put in since, showing 45,123 miles at time of engine rebuild. Not really sure of how many miles between 1-30-89 and time of engine rebuild. Judging by the receipts/records and pedals, I would guess that there is around 70K on the car. Was not driven very much from 2002 to present. Older gentleman owned and simply used for sunny weekends, etc. Car is virtually RUST-FREE. Only rust I can find is some small surface rust in spare tire well and one small hole in spare tire well about 1/4" round. Other than that, this car is clean, clean, clean! The underside floor shots show some dirt splashed up onto it. It is NOT rust. The car has minor damage to front passenger fender and slight bend to nose only. Bumper is fine, support underneath is fine. It sustained damage just in the "right" place as to avoid major damage. Lady backed out of driveway and swerved to miss........almost. Easy repair. Does not affect driveabilty at all. Car was originally black. Is now dark green. Paint is fair. Interior completely redone and carpeted. Top is canvas and in awesome condition. Tires have great tread, but have some age on them. Wheels are in great shape!! No rash, etc.. Here are the details: ENGINE: I'm going to start with the best thing first. ENGINE COMPRESSION COLD is 150psi across the board. $5800 engine rebuild including re manufactured head from IAP, bottom end(Borgo Hi-Comp Pistons and Liners) from IAP, motor mounts, fuel pressure regulator, new clutch kit, pilot bushing, clutch master and slave cylinder, clutch hose, inner and outer shift boot, shift ring, spark plugs and wires, rear engine seal. All done at 45,123 miles on 3-31-03. It appears all intake boots were done also as well as throttle body boot replaced and fuel injector hoses replaced. So, engine runs amazing, plenty of pickup, etc. No issues. New turbo exhaust from cat-back on 1-18-02. Reference sensor replaced at 49,347 on 7-23-08. TRANSMISSION: As stated above, clutch kit installed as well as both slave and master cylinders, pilot bushing, inner and outer shift boots, shift ring and clutch hose at 45,123 miles on 3-31-03. Second gear snycro is worn as they all are, and the tranny could stand a new tranny mount. Other than that, car shifts perfect. CHASSIS: New brake master cylinder, front rotors and hoses and pads on 7-19-00. Mileage unknown at time. Center driveshaft support bearing and flex-plate, and all u-joints replaced at 49,093 on 5-3-08. Suspension appears original and in good condition. Underneath is clean, clean, clean. Car handles very well. Tires are Lemans Touring 185/70-14 and were installed on 3-13-01. Mileage unknown. Wheels are original standard Alfa issue C35 rims made by FPS. INTERIOR: Sheepskin covers over original seats, which are actually tan and in good condition underneath the covers. Carpet throughout with dash carpet over UNCRACKED original dash. Custom floor mats. Rear package panel carpeted as well. A very nice job throughout. ORIGINAL factory radio works great with new speakers all around(Sony Xplode). Two in kick panel, two in package tray. Door panels and map pockets in great condition. ELECTRICAL: EVERYTHING works. Period. OK, trunk lights don't work as most don't from this era. All are intact, just have not rectified. Ignition system rewired/repaired at 45,900 on 8-10-05. EXTERIOR: Body is straight and RUST-FREE. No kidding. Car was obviously garaged it's whole life. Bumpers were repainted very well at some point. Only issue is the paint is worn/cracking, and the damage at passenger front. New CANVAS top in perfect condition. All seals seems nice and pliable. This car is ready to be enjoyed. It is priced right. An exceptional deal as these are hard to find without rust. Nothing really wrong with it except the cosmetic issue on the front, which is not really all that bad. Fix that, a new paint job and you have a VERY nice Alfa with a brand new engine with only 5K. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS. I can deliver within hundreds NOT THOUSANDS of miles, for a fee. Thanks and good luck!On Mar-23-11 at 21:32:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to clarify. Engine was rebuilt from ground up, from oil pan to valve cover, main bearings, rod bearings, re manufactured head, EVERYTHING.
