Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is not a restored car, just a nice condition 64,365mi. original driver. Please note that the 'Type' number 1836353 indicates a correct matching number, M41 4sp manual gearbox, LHD USA/Canada car. A manual conversion ES was recently sold on eBay (happens in other venues too) without being described as such. Just get in and drive it, no work needed. Engine starts right up, idles well, and pulls smoothly with excellent power, clutch is solid, gearbox shifts easily, overdrive engages positively. Brakes pull down evenly, car drives down the road with no pulling either way, no unusual or nasty noises. There is little to no rust on car, see underneath and fuel tank pictures. The interior is in very nice driver condition, the upholstery and headliner are very presentable with no rips or tears, see pictures. Even the visors, which can be a distorted crumbled mess, are in good condition. Car needs a new bonnet insulation kit; I kept the old insulation intact as one doesn't see the original ribbed rubber insulation around much anymore. New insulation kits can be purchased inexpensively, hopefully someone will one day make a kit that has the correct ribbed rubber finish on it. The jack with handle, partial toolkit, and spare tire are there ready to be used as intended. There are a couple of things on the car that are not stock: the radio is aftermarket (works well), and a direct reading mechanical oil pressure gauge was tidily installed with no damage to the car, and can be easily reversed if desired. The one thing missing on the car that I am aware of is the C-pillar interior covers; I’m looking for a pair if anyone is willing to sell a set. Even the windscreen washers are the original correct ones. I have more pictures of the car; send me your email address via eBay if you wish to see more, ask questions before bidding. I am willing to lose some money on the car in order to free up funds for my CA black plate ES project car, so the reserve is set at a fair price for what this original driver represents. If car sells, winning bidder will PayPal me a $500.00 deposit within 48hrs. of auction conclusion, the remainder to be wired to my account within four days of end of auction/receiving wiring instructions from me. So please have funds ready to go. Lowballers, please don’t bother, I’m not interested. I will hold the car at no extra cost to winning bidder for two weeks in my heated garage (where it’s always been). After that, a weekly rental of US$50.00 will be charged in order to encourage the winning bidder to pick up the car asap. Shipping is of course buyer’s responsibility to arrange and pay for. I will help with loading the car on the truck, or find your way to my garage and drive it home. Car is located 1hr. north of Seattle in zip code 98292.If anyone interested in this car has a nice driver or better condition, no-rust, non-red, non-Surrey TR250 with wires and overdrive they might want to trade plus cash for this car, let's talk. Or just cash :). On Mar-25-11 at 11:02:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Edit: March 25, 2011 When something stares one right in the face, sometimes one sees right through it. As a bidder asked me, yes, there is a dash cover on the top dash, which does have a crack in it. I will take pictures of it and send them to anyone who requests it. The bottom dash is crack-free. I should not have missed that obvious issue, just getting older and more forgetful. My apologies for this omission.
