Vehicle Detail
This is a steel bodied car with 1 piece glass nose, doors and trunk lid. The frame is fabricated 2x3 square tube. It has a Ford 9" narrowed housing with 4.44 gears on a Winters spool. It has Strange axles. Rear brakes are metric GM disc. Weld wheels all around. Rear slicks are Goodyear Eagle 30x12.5-15. Front axles is a dropped tube with pinto rack and pinion. Front brakes are Wilwood disc. New Goodyear Eagle front tires are 23 x 5-15. All sheet aluminum interior. Cage and belts have current NHRA certification. Chevy small block with 4-bolt mains, 10/10 steel crank & aluminum rods, forged pistons, Crane roller cam and valve train with Brownfield aluminum heads. Currently has a Proform drag race 750 CFM carb on a Hollety strip dominator manifold. Also comes with Hilborn set up for gas or alcohol. Engine still has the Hilborn drive. Hilborn pump was camshaft driven. All pills, lines and pump come with it. It is currently running a piston type fuel pump and regulator. Ignition is MSD 7AL-2 and MSD distributor Optima battery lives under rear of car. Total loss electrical system. Trans is short shaft Power Glide, ATD 8" converter. Trans is fresh rebuild. One piece front end tilts. Doors use quick release pins and trunk lid has Seuss fastners. Top of car is open. Cage is satin black. All plexi-glass windows. It is set up as a race car but could be made streetable. I have a good title for a 49 Ford. Comes with a Ford posi unit also. Spring type wheelie bar. I have not scaled it after cage changes were made, but it is probably still less than 2000 pounds. Great car for nostalgia class. Call 815-238-1976 with questions. No deposit required but total amount in cash upon pickup within 30 days of end of auction. More pics -- Click Here http://www.flickr.com/photos/60404623@N07/show/
