Vehicle Detail

This was listed a short while back and now I have it running. I got it out today and it started right up on the second kick, and it sat and idled, but only on one cylinder. I'm not going to pursue the issue. I don't know what the issue is, so I am going to sell this as a non-running project. It has a good, fat spark. Also, when I put gas in the tank today, the bike started and would idle, but it leaked gas from the carb. I removed the gas and came in to list the bike. CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME & IN HAND. With that, I have lowered the starting bid and the listing is NO RESERVE - Bid to win! Thanks! -Eric HERE IS THE PAST LISTING WITH ALL THE PERTINENT INFORMATION: This is just another project I will never get to, so here it is... 1972 Triumph Tiger TR6R 650cc with single carb. I purchased this a while ago with the intention of restoring, and it hasn't been touched. It has been sitting in my office at work (yes, indoors) and aside from many comments, it hasn't done a single thing for me. I have never heard her run. Ten years ago the previous owner took everything off so he could repaint the frame and put everything back together, as seen in the pictures, with the exceptions of the wiring, tubing (oil & fuel) plus other odds & ends. He has kept oil on top of the pistons so everything internally would be kept oiled. (ENGINE WIRING IS NOW COMPLETE) For the most part, the pictures will have to do the talking. The original peanut tank is included and the black Harley tank you see in the pictures is just sitting on it, not attached. The rear fender is just placed on top of the wheel, also not attached. I also have the chrome chain guard. Chrome pipes are rusty, but solid. The tires hold air (tubes) but the tires are old and checked. The mileage on the bike says just over 4k, and I've been told it is correct. This is the oil-in-the-frame model. The clear Michigan title is ready for the new owner. As with anything this old and not running, I must sell this as-is, but I do my best to describe the item fairly. Please ask questions or come and view the bike as I am selling this as a non-running project. High bidder must make all shipping arrangements and this must be picked up where I have it stored. I can help to load into a truck/trailer. $200 deposit must be made within 3 business days (PayPal) or it will be re-listed. Must be paid in full in cash within two weeks of sale ending (unless other arrangements are made). I can store the bike until April 30 at no charge if necessary. Thanks! -Eric ADDED NOTE: I have been recieving questions regarding the vin number, and I hope this clears things up. Originally I had the vin entered as a AC model as that is what appears on the title. In reality, it is an AG model, having maching number on both the frame and the engine. Both VIN's on the motorcycle read: TR6R AG44728. The title reads 1972 Model with the VIN as: TR6R AC44728 This is how I recieved the bike and title and how I will be passing them on to the new owner. I went into the Secretary of State (Michigan DMV) and reviewed it with the attendant. She stated that the title can be used for the bike even with the discrepency. It can still be registered and plated. If a future owner wants to make a correction, they can easilly do it through the State. I had the title put in my name. I hope this clears things up. I have also had questions regarding the original tank. I have posted those pictures. It is red, with a skull with hair that becomes flame. The skull is wearing sunglasses with the reflection of the motorcycle in the sunglasses' lenses. Not my favorite image, but very old school. Both tanks are included in the sale -Eric ANOTHER NOTE: I have the exhaust tip that is missing in the picture plus a couple extra parts. Sorry, there is no seat. -EricOn Mar-20-11 at 18:17:29 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL NOTE: I've taken several serious inquiries (plus a few rediculous questions and statements) and I am updating to answer those questions: The red tank is not in the best of shape. Although it holds fuel, there is minimal rust inside and the paint has several chips. The frame was painted years ago, and the paint has been scratched and scraped a little since then. As I've stated in the listing, I do not have a buy-it-now and there is no reserve. Please don't make offers. High bidder takes it. If you have any questions, please ask prior to bidding. Regarding those rediculous statements; yes, I think it's worth more than $120 - just watch the bidding - others seem to think so, too. Thanks everyone who is watching this sale. Enjoy the bidding. -Eric
