This is a 62 Impala 2dr hardtop stick car originally from California. My firiend drove it back from out west in the early 80s. I bought it from him with a 409 4spd that was not orginal. Car was a 327 3pd from factory. At the time Pro street was the rage . I brought the car to a stock car shop, New Dyn Chassis .Their cars were winning the championship at all the local tracks at that time They installed a new box frame from the firewall back leaving the front frame that is completly rebuild Also a full cage was installed The interior is all aluminum except the dash and floor .Rearend is a 9 inch ford with 487 gears with a trac lok and strange axles and a strange aluminum center section and hub. 4 link with coil overs.jfz disc brakes Has an ebrake setup that has a disc bolted to the rearend pinion hub. Also has competition engineering wheelie bars Front has stock spindles with 69 chevelle disc brake setup Master cyl is a 70 corvette manuel with an adj. priority valve Tires are 21.5 M/T in rear With pro tracs in front with centerline rims Fuel cell with dual electic holley fuel pumps and 1/2 fuel line Started to insall a wire works harness Comes also with orginal harness The body is very solid for the year the rear lips have minor bubbling starting. The lip beneath the trunk lip needs repair The drivers side floor has a small hole started The rest is solid Minor surface rust here and there but no rot out Have all glass but windsheild Trim is very good no dents Missing rocker trim Both bumpers 1 piece straight no rust or rot shine good not show quality All and all a super start for a neat classic It has hooker super comp headers for a big block This car was all together with a blown big block with a doug nash 5 spd . The car did 2 burnouts and hiccuped dropped a valve and I took it apart to detail it Thats as far as I got It was put into storage and Ive just rolled it out Its been tucked away for 25 years The body is bolted on but I didnt get super crazy lining everything up Car is all there but for the motor tranny and windhheild plus rocker trim I paid around 35000.00 back in the 80s to have this car done I would like to see this car finished by someone again Ive posted alot of pictures if u want a picture of something specific ask and I will get it My number is 860 267 7830 .
