I have a desirable 1997 Ford F 350 Crew Cab Dually 7.4 liter Turbo Diesel truck for sale. The pickup has approx. 220k on the engine, and an automatic transmission. It has cold a/c and bench seating. The truck is in good shape and pulls like a freight train, as it should. It is red in exterior and has a gray interior. Towing package with electric brake controller. It has approx. 50 miles on an oil change, and six good tires on aluminum wheels. It has power windows and power door locks. The truck was driven daily for months, until... The water in fuel light came on and thereafter the engine is randomly producing enough rpm to spool the turbo. The truck starts and runs down the road at 60 mph spooling the turbo perfectly until it gets completely warmed up, and then the injectors drop out and it won't do more than 25-30 mph... The suggestion from the Ford dealership is that one to two injectors have fouled/failed. The driver side seat has a decent amount of wear, and it needs a small amount of body work to be perfect, otherwise this is one great . I had to immediately purchase another truck, so my loss can be your gain... So, if you can work on a diesel, this is a crazy deal for you. If you have mechanic friends, this will most certainly be the way to get into the best truck Ford ever built for much less than other trucks in the same shape. You most likely will need a trailer to get it home, unless of course you are a diesel mechanic, you might be able to get the truck to drive right away.
