This is truly the most excellent,low mile,SL 500's you can find within that years range. I am the second owner. It has always been garaged and regularly serviced. In its entire 19 years, the car has traveled just under 087,300 miles. The car needs nothing. The tires are about a year old and it recently passed smog inspection and has new annual registration. There are 2 tops and it bears the original grey finish with the silver accents making this car even more gorgeous. This car packs 322 HP and it is the last year with such power. The original paint has ALL of its original lustre as it was rarely parked outside in the sun. there are some small and hard to see scratches or dings (See picture on Flickr). The leather upholstery is in great shape with slight ware on the side of the driver seat (See picture on Flickr). There is a powerful Alpine sound system with 10 disks CD changer. The wood console is superb,like a fine piano. The carpet is in good shape and the car was NOT smoked in! All a/c and heating components operate properly,and with ease. It has all the options offered that year including programmable seats positions, traction control, Automatic roller bar with the optional wind break screen, climate control, air bag and more. The engine and transmission are perfect. There are NO dissapointments with this car!The engine compartment is clean as is the trunk.
