Vehicle Detail

A rare 1967 Porsche 911 Targa, one of the first 718 Targas made and one of only 238 normal Targas, numbers matching with COA in hand. The car was purchased my me last year from the second owner, it was put up in 1977 and not touched since 2010. The engine has been fully serviced and restored by a Porsche shop with 30 years plus experience, ($10,000 plus receipt). Fenders, front bumper, rear bumpers, rear center panel, rear deck lid have been stripped and are in primer, doors and hood are in original paint and all items are in very good rust free condition. The car is currently disassembled and labeled very well, all components for the Targa top and rear window are present, the only item missing is the rear window since it was dryrotted. The car is very complete and original, not molested, never been in an accident, etc. It now needs metal work and most of the repair panels have been purchased and will go with the car, it will need rockers, front suspension pan, door lock posts, fender mounting panels and some torsion area work. The floors, parcel shelf, rear seat area, etc are fine, the metal work is a big project but this is a very savable and worth while project. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right end the auction at any time, I am more than happy to assist overseas buyers, $1,000 deposit due 24 hours after the auction, full payment due in 5 days, I have a clean clear title in my name.On Mar-12-11 at 03:15:21 PST, seller added the following information: I have added the COA for everyone that has asked, also this car was a European pick up car and was one of only a very few that was ordered with a rare 100 liter tank but I DO NOT have the tank. On Mar-12-11 at 03:18:59 PST, seller added the following information: An original 1967 Porsche factory show room poster is also available showing the exact same car, extra of course. On Mar-13-11 at 05:33:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I have uploaded a bunch more photos to answer everyone's questions; when the car was put up in 1977 the former owber started to do the metal work and it was a pretty poor job, when I purchased the car I started the process of undoing all of that work and stabilizing/cleaning the areas. Most if not all the factory seams are in place so panel replacement should be straight forward but it is a large job. The car is 99% complete and I have made a large effort already to restore this very hard to find numbers matching chassis. Again, the car will need rockers, torsion area repair, front pan, door lock posts, and patching here and there, most of the repair panels are included. Although the suspension is not on the car I will and can reassemble it to a roller stage. I am a long term Porsche owner.......currently own a 997 and a very early 912, I simply do not have the time or space for the car right now. To date I may have $20,000 in recent receipts for this car and I will try and upload some of those soon. If you have any questions please ask, the car is listed and advertised to be sold and I want the new owner to enjoy this rare sfot window Targa! Someone will get a great buy and a rare early 911. http://s1204.photobucket.com/albums/bb402/1967targa/On Mar-14-11 at 16:24:37 PDT, seller added the following information: To the several people that have asked; yes I can install the motor and transmission for transport, also I just uploaded more photos of the great hood badge to the car, a passenger side NOS fender, rebuilt brakes and also photos of the suspension items. On Mar-17-11 at 15:13:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Vehicle will not be released until funds have cleared my bank, my terms of $1,000 24 hour deposit and full payment in 5 days are firm.
