Numbers matching 1979 CJ5 Silver Anniversary Restored, Where do I start? There really is too much to list, but here we go... The good - Over the last 6 months the entire Jeep has been gone through, (over 300 pics of restoration) tub removed, stripped, repainted to original Quicksilver Metallic code 8C. Everything was either restored and refurbished or replaced with new aftermarket parts from Omix and Crown. All new Stainless hardware. The frame was stripped and painted, and has a Pro-Comp 4" lift (leaf springs) and Heavy Duty shackles. It is the original AMC 304 V8, 3 spd and transfer case. The frame has the vin stamped and matches the tub. The polution equipment has been removed, and a chrome engine kit was installed. The front seats are not original, but I have the original rear seat still in the factory material, black perforated vinyl, which was only available on trim code 1CS, for the silver anniversarys. The wheels are factory Jeep 15" wagon wheels, with 31 TSL Boggers installed. I do have a new bikini top with will go with the jeep, I can install it or leave it in the box. I also have a build thread detailing all the steps along the way at http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f22/1979-silver-anniversary-cj-5-a-1080726/ The 25th year Silver Anniversarys are very rare and Between 500-1000 of this model were ever made, and less than 50 are said to still exist. The factory tach and clock are still there, but the clock does not work. Currently registered and legal in Texas. The not so good - Clock does not work, and the dash emblem is long gone (they are extremely rare, but I have someone who can get this if you are intrested) Needs a windshield, and exhaust installed. (get with me and we can work something out if you would like me to have this installed before you pick up) I have over 300 Pics of the restoration, and a bad economy forces me to sell the toys... The restoration is 95% done, all that was needed is exhaust and a new windshield. To make it completely original and correct for this model, It needs a set of Chrome wheels, and the original seats, on which if purchased, I can give you a lead on someone who has these as well. Restored like this and with all the right parts these are valued at $25-$35,000 due to the rarity. If intrested and have any questions its best to just send me a question with your number and I will call you, or I will send you my number to call me. I am relisting and I have lowered the buy it now to less than what I have invested in this in time and money, but I just need it to sell, so someone gets one good deal on pretty much what is a brand new 1979 Jeep! Due to a few bidders with 0 feedback, and less than 30 days old, I request that you send me a message first and let me know you are serious, if you are a new ebayer or have 0 feedback. Thanks for looking!
