This 1979 Ford F-150, 4X4, Super Cab was sold new in Republic MO., and has remained in Southwest MO. ever since. With only 31,094 original miles this truck has lots of miles left in it. The 351 Modified engine runs strong and the c6 automatic transmission shifts perfectly. The four wheel drive has lock-out hubs and works perfectly. All of the brakes have been replaced including the master cylinder and the rear wheel cylinders. I put 4 new Hankook 31x10.5 R15 approximately 3000 miles ago. I replaced all of the original belts and hoses, but I kept them because I thought it was so cool. I also rebuilt the 2 barrel carb. and changed the sparkplugs, plug wires, fuel filter and put a new fuel pump on it. This truck runs great! I had the AC charged and it worked great for a little while but lost the charge pretty quick. The mechanic thinks that the compressor seal is leaking. This truck has front leaf springs instead of coils and still retains all 4 original shocks. The body has 80% of its original paint. The paint still shines nicely, but is fairly thin in spots. The truck looks great, but has its share of dings and dents. The worst part about the truck is some rust. I replaced both front floor pans with the correct floor pans from LMC. They where welded in and look great. The driver’s side cab corner needs to be replaced and I think the passenger side will need it to. There is also some rust in the bed. I think a couple of the bed patch panels will take care of it (see picture). The interior is all original with the exception of new carpet and the passenger side door panel. The heater works great as do the wipers, dash lights, courtesy light, and the cigarette lighter. This is a radio delete truck. The rear seats are jump seats and in perfect condition. The back side windows fold out. Of all the super cabs I have seen, this is the only one I have seen with this option. All of the exterior lights work, except the back-up lights. The wiring is original and not all hacked up. This truck also has a new receiver hitch installed. This is really an awesome truck and I would drive it anywhere with no worries.
