NO RESERVE!! HIGHEST BIDDER BUYS A WONDERFUL **1979 VW BUG CONVERTIBLE ** Here is a really nice Bug Convertible in one of the most desired colors! I believe it's called River Blue. Only 80,300 ACTUAL MILES!!! The body and paint are super nice. The re-spray was professionally done. This VW is very much original except the paint. The undercarriage was gone through when it was painted. There was the usual patch repairs, but the rust was not bad enought to replace pans. It is solid now and was undercoated after repaired. The engine runs great. It looks like it had been gone through, but I don't have records. It is nicely detailed. The Torque Thrust style wheels are like new and really look great! The tires look like new, but have dry rot and will need replaced. The interior is really nice. The dash pad has sun cracks, but a nice cover is in place. It has a nice shifting 4 speed and the clutch feels great. I would never say an old Bug doesn't leak oil, but this one seems clean underneath. The top may be original and is in nice shape. It does have the aftermarket "bug" patches where the top is known to wear on the frame.
